Day 1 : Abou Simbel



Welcome to Aswan. Departure around 10:00 am to reach Abu Simbel (290 Km). We will arrive and install you at your Nubian house/hotel, the Tuya Hotel (modest and typical). Nubian lunch.

Then we will leave in the afternoon for the visit of two temples of Abu Simbel. The Abu Simbel temples are two temples of ancient Egypt dug into the rock, and located near Abu Simbel. There is the large temple and the small temple. They were built by Pharaoh Ramses II. The large temple is dedicated to the worship of Amon, Ra, Ptah and deified Ramses II. The façade is composed of four colossal statues of Ramses II sitting ... The small temple is dedicated to the cult of deified Nefertari. The façade is composed of six colossal statues of Ramses II and Nefertari.

 And finally, you will participate in the famous ''Sound and Light'' show. The temples of Abu Simbel look even more seductive at night, due to the lighting, music and superb narration. You will literally be introduced to what it was like thousands of years ago! Afterwards, you will be accompanied to your Nubian hotel/home.




Day 2 : Cruise on Lake Nasser



Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to join your small boat, you will settle on board your cruise ship Queen Tiyi 5 cabins (boarding on Thursday), includes 3 meals + mineral water, tea and coffee, infusions at will), lunch on board.

Then, sailing to Kasr Ibrim (about 4 hours of navigation); in fact, Kasr Ibrim is the only remnant - not moved - where we will see the ruins of an ancient fortress and a basilica; (comments will be made from the deck of the boat). Dinner and overnight on board in one of the creeks of the region.




Day 3 : Cruise on Lake Nasser



After breakfast, we will sail to the temples of Amada. Once we arrive at the site around noon, we will visit Amada - a small and very well preserved temple dating back to the 18th dynasty.

We will also visit the temple of Derr - whose bas-reliefs are almost identical to those of the great temple of Abu Simbel. In addition, we will continue with a visit to the tomb dug into the rock of Peinout (Chief General of Nubia). Lunch.

Then we will pass through the Korousko region and its mountainous relief.
As well as Wadi el Arab, one of the largest valleys in the region, which stretches for several kilometers. We will spend the night in one of the creeks of Wadi el Arab. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4 : Cruise on Lake Nasser



After breakfast, we will visit the temples of Wadi el Seboua (the Valley of the Lions), which was dedicated to the gods Amun-Re, Ra-Horakhty, as well as to deified Ramses II, and also visit the temple of Dakka dedicated to Thoth, as well as the Greco-Roman temple of Meharakka. Return to our boat; lunch on board. Then we will sail to spend the night in one of the bays of Khour El Alaki. Dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast, we will sail in the morning to Aswan, where we will visit the Kalabsha temple. We will also see the chapel of Beit el Wali, dug into the rock and dedicated to the young king Ramses II. Then, we will finish by the kiosk of Kertassi also dedicated to the young king Ramses II. After this we will admire prehistoric bas-reliefs.

On one of these stones, this text, that it is a prayer was engraved by the decurion Maximos :
