Day 1 : From Lima to Puerto Maldonado by plane

From Lima, take a flight to Puerto Maldonado. Then a motorized boat leads you to the Posada Amazonas Lodge. During the two hours of transport you will encounter many species of Amazon fauna. Fifteen minutes from the lodge is a tower of 35 meters high. Every two meters, platforms are places of rest and observation. From the tower, a magnificent view is offered on the river, the Tambopata reserve and the wildlife living there. Night at Posada Amazonas Lodge.




Day 2 : Around Tres Chimbadas Lake



After a wake up during the sunrise, visit Tres Chimbadas Lake. It takes about 15 minutes of boat and a 30-minute walk to arrive in this rich animal place, including the otters and turtles. To better observe them, floating platforms have been developed. In the afternoon, your boat navigates the Tambopata River at the heart of the reserve for almost 4 hours. After some time, no sign of dwelling. Therefore, wildlife becomes more diverse. The boat then moves to the Tambopata Research Center, where the center's activity will be presented. Take the Bamboo road, which observes very rare birds, which become almost non-existent in southern Peru. Return to the center for dinner and spend the night. Frogs can observe them at night in the vicinity of the center.




Day 3 : Crossing the river



At dawn, crossing the river to discover hundreds of parrots of all colours picorant the clay of the cliff (sweat). They will fly to the slightest sign of danger. Back to the centre, take a new path, as short as that of Bamboo: Ocelot Road. This trail passes into a forest of several hundred years and features regular traces of pumas or jaguars.However, these are rarely observable. Return to the centre for lunch, followed by a new expedition to meet a colony of parrots that nidifient regularly. Night at the center.




Day 4 : More parrots



This day also begins very early as a new meeting with these hundreds of parrots seen the previous day is planned. Back to the centre, a new runway will be used, Tounca, which crosses the Terra Firm forests. The fauna that lives in this wooded location differs completely from the animals previously observed. The afternoon has passed on a lake with a platform to observe birds. Night at the center.




Day 5 : Continuation of exploration



Third morning in contact with the many parrots that provide a real wonder. The day continues with a departure from the centre to reach the lodge Posada Amazonas. The arrival in this place is only planned in mid afternoon. Night at the Posada Amazonas Lodge.




Day 6 : Return Path
