Instead of planning a cruise in the Amazon, we can of course provide a lodge (Juma Lodge, anavilhanas, Mirante Gaviao, ..)

Day 1 : Rio de Janeiro - Arrival

As this is a tailor-made trip, we adapt the schedule of visits to the flight schedules. After a long flight + jet lag, generally we suggest a little rest before starting the tours. However, we remain open to any wishes from you.

Day 2 : Corcovado and Sugarloaf

In the morning, visit of Christ offering an indescribable view over the bay of Rio de Janeiro. “Corcovado” is a deformation of the word “hunchback”, in Portuguese to designate the mountain, which dominates Rio from its 710 meters and on which stands the giant statue (38m high, 28m wide) of Christ the Redeemer made by the French sculptor Paul Landowski. With his open arms, he personifies the welcome and hospitality of the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. The panorama will allow you to understand its configuration. Day 3 : Colonial Rio

In the morning, private tour of the Rio Colonial with a bilingual English-speaking guide. Walk in the old Rio, Cultural corridor, Tiradentes Palace, Church of Lapa dos Mercadores, Place XV, Casa França-Brasil, Church of La Candelária, Saint Benedict Monastery and its Church covered with gold. We will end the tour with a visit to the superb modern Metropolitan Cathedral, inspired by an Inca temple. Free lunch. Afternoon, visit of the Santa Teresa district and discovery of the Selaron stairs. Free dinner. Night at the hotel.




Day 4 : Manaus

Day 5 : Amazon cruise

Free morning and lunch.

Board the M / V DESAFIO at 2:00 p.m. at the Manaus quay. Once on board, our guide welcomes you with a brief talk about the sailboat, and the Amazon, while you sip a good cocktail made with local fruit juice accompanied by snacks. We will then start sailing to "Três Bocas", located on the Anavilhanas archipelago. After dinner served on board, you will enjoy a pleasant motorized canoe ride to recognize the place, an opportunity to listen to the sounds of the jungle. Night on the boat.

Instead of planning a cruise, we can of course provide a lodge (Juma Lodge, anavilhanas, Mirante Gaviao, ..)




Day 6 : Meeting with indigenous communities.

At 5.30 a.m., exit to admire the jungle in the morning and listen to birdsong in all its diversity. Return to the boat for breakfast and then continue navigation in our motor canoes to the village of the Indian community "Terra Prata". You will have the opportunity to learn about the lifestyle and habits of the Indians in this community. Return to the boat and lunch on board. Afternoon, navigation to the Village of the “Jaraqui” community. Tour by the river until arriving on dry land, where it is possible to hike to observe the regional flora and fauna, drink water from the cipó (local plant) and listen to the echo produced by the huge trees of the Amazon. Return to the boat for dinner served on board and overnight at the boat.




Day 7 : The Meeting of The Waters

Breakfast on the boat. Navigation towards the small village of Acajatuba. Halfway there is a stop at the "Recanto dos botos" where you will have the opportunity to interact with the pink dolphins, and feed the famous "Pirarucu" fish, known as the Amazonian cod. Return to the boat for lunch. Restart of the cruise to witness the famous “Meeting of the Waters”, a phenomenon where the dark waters of the Rio Negro river meet with the clayey waters of the Solimões river which do not mix. After that, you will go to the lake "Janauari" to live another beautiful experience, that of fishing for Piranhas, the fish feared by all. After dinner served on board, journey through the Igarapés in search of alligators and other night animals with flashlights. Return to the boat for the night.




Day 8 : Exploration of the River

After breakfast, departure by motorboat to visit the giant water lilies, magnificent aquatic plants typical of the Amazon region. Return to the boat and continue the journey to return to Manaus, arrival at 11:00 a.m. Free lunch. Transfer to Manaus airport. Flight to Salvador. Reception at the airport by our guide and private transfer to the hotel. Free dinner. Night at the hotel.
