Landing in Trivandrum, arrival in the cultural capital of Kerala, we take advantage of this day to get used to local colours and discover the richness of this particular state. On the program, visit of the Napier Museum, a true architectural jewel combining tradition with Mughal and Chinese influences. Inside, we come into contact with the rich past of this place thanks to the permanent exhibition. If the fatigue is not felt, you can discover the Sree Chithra Enclave, adjacent to the museum, which tells us the history of the region's maharajas. After that, rest and tasting of local dishes.

Small excursion near Trivandrum to visit one of the most legendary temples in Kerala. Dedicated to god Vishnu, a treasure of more than euro 15 billion was recently discovered in this place! Legend has it that one of the doors has not been opened, in order to protect the world from the wrath of the gods. Departure to Varkala at the end of the day aboard a train! This means of locomotion is truly an adventure and is part of the experiences not to be missed in India.

You wake up calmly in one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in Kerala. You can enjoy the sun, the beach. In the evening, meal and cocktail on the cliff to admire a magnificent sunset on the Arabian Sea.

After relaxing, why not enjoy a good Ayurvedic massage? Go to the train station in mid-afternoon to visit Alleppey.




Day 5 : Discovery of backwaters, must-to-do in Kerala



A day to navigate through these multiple canals where you can contemplate local fauna and flora in a dreamlike landscape. In the evening, rest lulled by the gentle waves on board your house-boat.

Back to Alleppey, departure to Ernakulum, again by train. Upon arrival, take a rickshaw and go to Kochi, a town rich in history and marked by the presence of European settlers. You can stroll inside Fort Cochin and end the day with a walk at nightfall along Chinese dip nets and a spectacle of Katakali, a typical dance of Kerala.

In the morning, visit of the Paradeshi Synagogue and shopping break in Jew Town flea markets. You can take the opportunity to go to the world's only pepper market and bring some souvenirs before departure.
