Day 1 : First steps in Mexico City

This trip begins with a visit to the historic centre of Mexico City: the metropolitan cathedral; the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the magnificent frescoes of Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros ; Place de Santo Domingo; the Templo Mayor. In the late afternoon, go to the Torre Latinoamericana to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city.




Day 2 : Culture and green spaces

The morning will be devoted to the visit of the Museum of Anthropology. In the afternoon, you can opt for a walk on the Paseo de la Reforma or visit the Río Lerma Reservoir inside the Chapultepec wood, which is decorated with a beautiful fresco of Diego Rivera. Dinner in the trendy Condesa district, or in the more bohemian district of Roma.




Day 3 : Authentic village



Departure for the beautiful small village of Tepoztlán, south of Mexico City. In the morning, visit of the pyramid overlooking the mountain of Tepozteco. We will eat delicious colorín quesadillas, huitlacoche, or chapulines for lunch at the market. In the afternoon, you can let yourself be tempted by a hot stone massage or try the temazcal, the Mexican steam bath that has existed since pre-Hispanic times. Night in Tepoztlán.




Day 4 : The monuments of Cuernavaca



Departure to Cuernavaca. The day will be devoted to the city visit: Cortés Palace, Robert Brady museum and Jardin Borda. Night in Cuernavaca.




Day 5 : Discovery of Xochicalco

Departure from Cuernavaca early in the morning to visit the archaeological site of Xochicalco, which is about 1 hour drive. The luggage will be left at the entrance to the site to go directly to Taxco after the visit. Night in Taxco.




Day 6 : Around Taxco

Visit of the caves of Cacahuamilpa in the vicinity of the village of Taxco. In the afternoon, visit of the village of Taxco and the very beautiful church of Santa Prisca. Shortly before the sunset, take the cable car to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city.




Day 7 : Discovery of the crafts and returning to Mexico City

Taxco is renowned for its silver handicrafts. We'll go shopping before taking the bus to Mexico City. Arrival in Mexico City. We will spend the evening on place Garibaldi to listen to mariachi or at the Arena Mexico to watch a show of lucha libre.




Day 8 : Discovery by boat

Trip by Trajineras in Xochimilco. The most motivated will enjoy being in Xochimilco to visit the Dolores Olmedo museum.




Day 9 : The outlying districts of Mexico City

Discover the Coyoacán district, where the Frida Kahlo museums and León Trotsky are located. Departure to the city of Querétaro in the late afternoon. Night in Querétaro.




Day 10 : From Querétaro to Tula

Visit of the Querétaro city. Departure to Tula in the late afternoon. Night in Tula.




Day 11 : The former Chichimèque capital



Early in the morning, visit of the archaeological site of Tula and then, take the bus for the village of Tepozotlán, where you will visit the beautiful Virreinato museum. Night in Tepozotlán.




Day 12 : The most beautiful pre-Columbian remains: Teotihuacán

Departure to Teotihuacán early in the morning to discover the imposing archaeological site. After the visit, return to Mexico City. Night in Mexico City.




Day 13 : Sport and relaxation near Mexico City



Departure to the small village of Valle de Bravo, west of Mexico City. The afternoon will be devoted to the village visit, to sports activities (horseback riding or water skiing on the lake) or to relaxation activities (massage, meditation).
