Tyrol and Bavarian castles on snowshoes ...

Trip description

Snowshoeing in Austria and Germany, from the authentic Tyrol to the famous Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

To the south of the Bavarian plain, here are the first foothills of the Alps, in the beautiful and colourful region of Allgäu, next to Tyrol and Bavaria. It is from Nesselwang, one of the postcard villages of the Allgäu, that we will begin this itinerant snowshoeing tour, which will lead us, from one village to another, through the snowy pastures, the inns bundled where grill and smoke by the fire the famous «Schweinehaxe», where you get drunk with the smells of «Apfelstrudel» crispy in the oven of the inn. We will discover successively the small Tyrolean enclave of Jungholz, the pretty valley of Tannheim, Pfronten, Reutte, Füssen and Hohenscwhangau, with as the highlight the Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. You will appreciate the comfort and atmosphere of the stages: gasthof, hotel… The atmosphere is warm and golden like the Weizenbier, so pleasant to taste after the effort… You will dream in front of the Bavarian Castles!!
