A trip to Bhutan is a silk adventure. Of course, it is a trip that must be entirely organized in advance and that presupposes being supervised on a daily basis. So it is not a trip for backpackers or individual travellers, but rather for families. They will find all the luxury and service they could expect, even with young children.

Arrival in Paro. After lunch, direction the capital, Thimphu. Walk in town and visit the dzong (famous fortress-temples of Bhutan) of the capital.
The adventure begins with the crossing of the Col de Dochu La, which culminates at 3 050 m. By the time, the summits of the East Himalaya appear in the distance: Tsendagang, Terigang or Gangkar Punsum, the highest summit in Bhutan. The journey continues towards the Dzong valley. Access to one of Bhutan's finest dzongs is carried out by a suspended bridge.
The road will be long (5 hours/130 km) to reach Trongsa in the Bumthang region. The walk to Chimi Lhakang monastery offers a pleasant stopover. In the small neighbouring village, women cook rice in large stoves. A new pass, that of Pele La Pass (3 420 m), must be crossed. Along the winding road, it is not uncommon to meet some the who graze.
This day will be placed under the sign of the visits: Nonnerie Kungarapten and walk in the southern district.
Take 3 hours to reach the Bumthang valley. Bordered west by the Black Mountains, central Bhutan is traversed by two rivers that take their source at the Himalayas. From Trongsa, you cross a third and fourth collar.
It is now time to go back to Thimphu, where there is no shortage of visits: Folk Heritage Museum, national bookshop, tour of the chörten of Her Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
After leaving the capital, visit Paro to visit the Dzong, the national museum and stroll through the surrounding countryside, including the Tiger Nest. A few hours'walk for some, or a real excursion for others, visitors must make an effort to reach the monastery hung on the mountain side. It is really worth it.
