The high tourist season extends from June to September, with a peak in August and at the time of year-end celebrations. Months from April to June and from October to November are Favourable in terms of climate and less important tourist attendance.

Bali : Go with a local agency

A living traditionThe temples and daily offerings (flowers, incense, food) are the external testimonies of the bond that unites the Balinese with their gods and their nature, and the great religious tradition that animates them. Similarly, the arts such as dance and music, extremely elaborate are executed in offering the deities. By organizing your stay with a local agency, you are sure to discover this authentic traditional Bali.Art with a skin flowerBali is known throughout the world for its great craft. Carved wooden furniture, the épouvantables dragons, the delicacy of the sculptures, the grace of childish, the fonderies foundries, the vanneries, the silver jewelry are all know-how of the Balinese...Peace and balance of energyThe Balinese are lovers of peace. At all scales of existence, harmony must be maintained. Therefore, the Balinese never bother themselves, take care of nature and channel their violence into religious rituals of collective transes. If you organize a custom trip with a local agency, you will have the opportunity to meet many Balinese exactly in this image.Rice terraces on the terraceEnjoying a warm and humid climate, the island of the gods has been spoiled by nature. Exuberant everywhere, it corresponds to the dream image of the island: rice terraces in terraces sculpture the hill. Inondées of water, they are filled with golden light in the sunset sun, where the silhouettes of coconut trees come to dance.
Although higher than in most of the other islands in Indonesia, the standard of living in Bali remains much lower than that of our European regions.Basic indicatifsDish in a restaurant: around 35 000 The dish in a small street restaurant (warung); between 45 000 and 65 000 Rp in a cheap restaurant for tourists, from 90 000 Rp in a real restaurant. Spoken languages

French is not spoken; try to cool down your English or start a quick start to Indonesia. Originally, Bahasa Indonesia was the language only of a small minority on Java and was imposed by the fathers of independence as a factor in building national identity. Language is not very difficult, and if you learn a few words and expressions, it can be very useful to you. In tourist regions, English is undoubtedly the lingua franca: in hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, books, maps... You will even be surprised at Bali to see how young people in the street speak Shakespeare's language (with a very strong local accent which sometimes makes them difficult to understand). So the Balinese are trilingual because they speak Indonesian, English and Balinese. This last language is the least well controlled, because it comes under a convoluted, very singular code, and it is very easy to offend someone by deceiving themselves in the formula to use. That is why everyone prefers to keep Indonesian, more accessible and less risky.

Currency

The Indonesian currency unit is the Indonesian rupee. It is represented by the acronym Rp (and its international acronym is IDR).Banknotes are 1 000, 2 000, 5 000, 10 000, 20 000, 50 000 and 100 000 rupees. Coins are 100, 200, 500 and 1 000. They are very little used outside the Conurbation/Legian/Seminyak/Denpasar conurbation. You will very often have sets of tickets with you, but also trouble "breaking" your big tickets, because small street vendors open eyes all round with a 100 000 Pr ticket... It is therefore useful, especially if you travel out of very tourist areas, to predict many small cuts.

Weather

Bali has a wet tropical climate with a dry season from April to October and a wet (monsoon) season from November to February, with rains concentrated over January and February.
