The cost of living is fairly high in Israel, especially in large cities. However, it is still possible for the small budget traveller to get out of it honourably. It depends, of course, on the life train you intend to carry out on the spot. Take at least 250 to 300 NIS (52 to 63 €) per day, squeezing the belt and out of vehicle rental.At the level of accommodation, broke sleep in youth hostels or camping (but there are not everywhere). Count 130 NIS for one bed in dormitories an official hostel and about 90/100 NIS for a dorm bed in the cheapest hostels. For a double room, count from 250 to 350 NIS for basic comfort. For 400 to 600 NIS you can stay in a double room in a more comfortable hotel, a kibbutz or a moshav. And if your budget is even higher, you can enjoy the comfort of luxury facilities. Breakfast is usually (but not always) included in the price of hotels, official youth hostels, kibbutzim or moshavim. But this rarely happens in unofficial hostels.As far as food is concerned, you will get out of it for really cheap eating historical, hummus and other falafels. There is a way to get away from 25 NIS to 30 NIS, but in the long run it can get boring. If not, you can always do your shopping in the market or in the supermarket. Most of the hotel rooms are equipped with a fridge, some of which even have a kitchenette. If you want to eat to eat, you will cost at least 50 NIS. For a real restaurant, with drinks, count around 100/150 NIS, at least. In Tel Aviv, cafes and restaurants are often more expensive than in Paris.A large expense is visiting national parks and nature reserves. It may be interesting to purchase the access card, known as the number of possible access, Blue Card, Green Card and Orange Card, which gives access for 14 days to a number of sites.Blue Card: 3 sites - 78 NISGreen Card: 6 sites - 110 NISOrange Card: all Israeli sites - 150 NIS.You will be given the card chosen on the first site visited or at www.parks.org.ilFormalitésForeign nationals only need a valid passport 6 months after the date of entry and a valid 3 month visa, issued free upon arrival.
