Arrival in Santo Domingo, which concentrates most of the country's cultural heritage. The colonial city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, contains numerous testimonies of Spanish colonization, including religious or civilian buildings now magnificently restored. The morning is devoted to the visit of the Colón de Colón, the former residence of Diego Colón converted into a fascinating museum, and to the Casa de Nicolas de Ovando's Casa de Nicolas in which a well-deserved break in its shady patio can be achieved. In the afternoon, leave the dévouverte of the Joyau jewel: The Cathedral Santa María the menor primada of América. Built between 1514 and 1540, it is the oldest cathedral in the Americas. To finish the day, sit on the terrace in a Parque Colón café to the sounds of latino rhythms of street musicians.

Stay in one of the charming hotels of the historic centre, in the very heart of the colonial area, in the footsteps of the first conquistadors, enjoy the softness and charm of the architecture, discover the adventures of the past on foot or in carriage. Visit in the morning the imposing Faro a Colón to the east of the city, high to the glory of Christopher Columbus. Then go to Plaza de la Cultura and learn from many museums that the site includes: The Dominican Man Museum, Museum of Natural History or the Museum of Modern Art. At the end of the day, walk down Calle Conde, walking in the shade, like the locals. Dinner on Plaza España with views of the illuminated Colón de Colón.

Get lost in the streets of the colonial city and discover the treasures of architecture at every corner and visit the Chinese quarter. His walk in the Botanical Garden in the north of the city, in the shade of big trees... Go dancing the bachata in the best discos in the capital.
