Day 1 : The Natural History Museum

If you visit the Prince of Wales Museum, take a little tour of the Natural History, which is very popular with children. The tour begins with a stroll through stuffed birds of all sizes and colours, mostly from India. Then, we arrive in the mammals room and then the fish room. Finally, the insects and reptiles room, including very impressive cobras.

Day 2 : The Nehru Science Center

If your children are more interested in science than naturalized animals, the Nehru Science Centre is a good alternative. A wide range of activities that are especially dedicated to them, resulting in experimentation and manipulation of all kinds. The sites are divided into several departments such as Prehistoric Animal Life, Aerospace, Light & Sight or Sound & Hearing.

Day 3 : The Island of Elephanta

In addition to the caves, this island has the particularity of welcoming not elephants, but an important colony of pilferer monkeys, macaques, of which the jokes are funny. Not really aggressive, because they are used to being with tourists and Indians who come to picnic with family, but we'll take some precautions, especially if they're interested in the snack of our children.

Day 4 : Chowpatty Beach

At night when it is cooler, change of the atmosphere. The big wheel starts, the monkey trainers show their shows, the kids climb on ponies for a walk on the beach and for a few rupees, contortionists take impossible postures. The bhelpuri stalls will make the gourmands happy.

Day 5 : Amusement parks

Higher in the north of the city, two amusement parks compete fiercely. The Essel World and its numerous rides with a very impressive roller coaster, a huge skating rink and a spectacular 180° cinema. Nearby, freshwater enthusiasts will go to the Water Kingdom, Asia's largest aquatic amusement park. In the middle, one of the largest swimming pools in the world, three artificial rivers that you will go down by rafting, geysers, fountains and green spaces to relax or picnic. In Khopoli, accessible by the urban train, a giant theme park clearly differs from the two previous ones: Adlabs IMAGICA. It is simply the most modern and the most beautiful in the country.

Day 6 : A safari

Let's end with a safari at Sanjai Gandhi National Park. There are actually two tracks to follow by bus. One is for lions, about twenty-five, the other for tigers, only a dozen but two are white. The big cats live in semi-liberty, in reconstituted natural habitats, in the middle of tall grasses, bamboo forests, lakes and ponds. The park, outside these two protected areas, has large varieties of animals, flowers, trees...
