Discovering the traditional Beijing over 2 days

Flights from Paris arrive early or at mid-morning in Beijing. The afternoon can therefore be spent in the heart of Beijing: Tian'tiananmenn Square, and the unmissable Forbidden City, with its 72 hectares of rooms, apartments and interior courtyards. You can then admire the sunset on the glazed roofs of Forbidden City from the coal hill. A Beijing opera show, or a condensed version of opera, acrobatics and magic at Lao She's tea house will recreate the atmosphere of the Imperial China.

This symbol of the Chinese capital is in the south of the city, in a huge park of 27 hectares. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, this complex offers architectural forms referring directly to the themes of heaven (circle) and the Earth (square). It is also the only temple in the capital to be topped with blue tiles. The park itself allows you to learn about the lifestyles of the Beijinger: morning taiqi, birds walk, Erhu players (a kind of Chinese violin) and opera singers. The afternoon can be dedicated to the Summer Palace, its temples and its amazing stone boat, or to shopping in Hongqiao, which allows you to find clothes and accessories at competitive prices. In the evening, dinner in a restaurant with a roasted duck and, possibly, starting glass around the lake of Houhai.
