Welcome by your driver-guide at Nairobi airport.

Immediate departure for the incredible Samburu Reserve, known for its rare species such as the Gray Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx (also called Samburu Special).

The reserve is also known for its elephant population: more than 900 individuals are recorded in the reserve! Large predators such as lion, leopard, and cheetah are present in Samburu.

The famous Kamunyak, the miracle lioness who adapted the baby Oryx, lived in the reserve. Wild dogs can also be seen there and avian fauna is abundant with more than 450 recorded species, including the Kestrel and the Taita falcon, both of which are protected species.

The Samburu reserve is very uncrowded and is particularly popular with travelers looking for safaris off the beaten track. Not far from the reserve, at the foot of Mount Ololokwe, is Camp de Sabache, an eco-lodge managed by the Samburu community and nestled in a green valley where wildlife is omnipresent.

With any luck you will hear at night a leopard growl and hiss. This frequenter comes to hunt these prey near the camp but never approaches the humans he fears.

This eco-lodge, which uses all green energies, was created in order to generate funds for the Lion Conservation Center, a conservation center located in the Samburu district, which works for the protection of lions but also elephants. and rhinos.

There are many activities on offer at Sabache Camp: trekking on Mount Ololokwe, multi-hour, full-day trekking, mountain-top camping, guided bird and medicinal hikes, camel safaris, climbing but also tracking lions and rhinos accompanied by warriors and Samburu guides and visiting a sanctuary of orphaned baby elephants that are destined to return to the wild.

Samburu is a real Noah's Ark and awaits you to experience unique safaris and off the beaten track in the heart of its extraordinary landscapes! What to live exceptional and unforgettable experiences!
