Alt Empordà is this very beautiful region of the Costa Brava, which you enter by crossing the French border at the Perthus. Famous for its beaches and heavenly coves, the region has much more to offer than a superb nature between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, from the modernist heritage of Figueres to the Roman citadel of Empúries, not to mention a creative cuisine and a more than well-rounded sense of celebration

Discover the city and its modernist heritage. Lunch on the ramblas. Afternoon visit to the Dalí Theatre-Museum and tasting of a flaona, the local sweetness. Evening, dinner at the restaurant of the Duran Hotel, a reference in "Cuisine du Vent" (Cuina del Vent).

Morning, heading for Port de la Selva and visit the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, one of the treasures of Catalan Romanesque art. Lunch at El Monestir restaurant, in the monastery, with a panoramic view of the surroundings. Return to Figueres and visit Castell San Ferran. Dinner on the ramblas.




Day 3 : Cadaqués and Portlligat

Morning, discovery of the village of Cadaqués and lunch in one of the port's restaurants. Afternoon visit to the Dalí House-Museum in Portlligat. Return to Cadaqués and dinner in Es Baluard. Last glass or cremat, at the Bar marítim, facing the Cucurucucuc, the small emblematic rock of the village.




Day 4 : Castelló d'Empúries and Roses

Morning, visit Castelló d'Empúries, which preserves many noble or religious buildings and then head for Roses. Visit of the citadel housing Roman and Greek remains. Lunch at Sodemar, in the sports port. Afternoon, walk on the walkway to Cala Montjoi which hosted the famous restaurant El Bulli. Swimming. Evening, dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking the passeig marítim of Roses.




Day 5 : Aiguamolls Natural Park



Morning: heading for the Cortalet near Sant Pere Pescador, the ideal place to start discovering this place, allowing you to observe not only birds but also many ecosystems. You can spend the day there with a snack. Or spend half a day with him if you also want to visit the Monastery of Sant Miquel de Fluvià, another jewel of the novel, 10 km west of San Pere Pescador. Evening: return to Sant Pere Pescador and dinner near the beach.
