In two weeks, this tour allows to combine walking in the most beautiful parks in the North with relaxation in the middle of nature, and gives you a foretaste of the Pacific coast and the Caribbean coast.

Explore the city centre of the capital by foot. Nothing better to observe the different architectural styles, including the Teatro Nacional, bathed in the scents and flavours of the Mercado Central stalls, lunch in a soda, discover the museums before eating in one of the good restaurants of the Barrio Amun. And even though Costa Ricans are not really night owls, they remain animated by the passion for Latin dances. Finishing the day on lively rhythms is not just for ticos!




Day 2 : La Fortuna

Starting early in the morning (by car) to enjoy a clear sky on the summits, you can start with the volcano Poás, then stop at the fall of La Paz, a few kilometres on the road to San Miguel. Follow the road to the north of the Central Valley to La Fortuna.

Visit of the Volcan Arenal National Park (or reserve), or hike at Cerro Chatoselon your physical condition; the day will be dynamic. In the evening, enjoy a long break in one of the hot water pools to relax.




Day 4 : Park Tenorio

Trip to Tenorio Park passing by the Arenal lagoon. Relaxation at the lodge and wildlife observation in the afternoon.




Day 5 : Hiking and mud bath

Hike to Río Celeste and then drive to Rincon de la Vieja. In the evening, compulsory mud bath in your lodge.




Day 6 : Volcanic stroll



Visit of the volcanic sites in Las Pailas and Santa María, then short drive to the beach on the Atlantic coast.




Day 7 : Gulf of Papagayo

Diving initiation or snorkeling in the Papagayo Gulf, then drive to the Monteverde reserve.

Visit of the Monteverde reserve.




Day 9 : Walk in tropical forest



Canopy or hanging bridges to discover the incredible biodiversity of the cloud rainforest. Return to San José to return the rental vehicle.




Day 10 : Turtles in Tortuguero

Transfer to Tortuguero and observation of turtles on the beach - unmissable in season.

Walk through the canals of Tortuguero National Park in the early morning. Return to San José.
