After breakfast you will depart for the great Serengeti National Park, on the way we will drive through the mist covered rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you may be lucky enough to see baboons, or even leopards and elephants in the dense undergrowth.

Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you can see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before continuing on to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach at midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs and mountains.

After a long game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation where you will have dinner and overnight at Tanzania Bush Camp. (Lunch is provided).

Day 6 : Discover the Northern Serengeti National Park

In the morning we start our game drive en route to the northern Serengeti region.

Stretching from Seronera for about 100km, the northern Serengeti is a gentle rolling countryside interrupted by small rivers, occasional hills and kopjes. Here resides a plant population with very striking geological occurrences such as the magnificent Lobo Kopje.

The north of the Serengeti is an interesting and varied country that is far from the main park entry point in the south and therefore receives fewer visitors.

Migration in this area takes place in August and we can hopefully witness the most spectacular river crossings as the herd tries to cross the Mara River and avoid the strong currents and hungry crocodiles.

After a full day, we head to our accommodation where we enjoy dinner and a night's sleep under the beautiful African sky at the Endless Plain Dinner and overnight stay at the Serengeti Heritage Lodge. (Lunch is provided)

After breakfast you will set off to make the most of the day. There is a chance that you will see the animals crossing the Mara River. Hundreds of thousands of wildebeest congregate on the banks of the river.

All it takes is one brave wildebeest to take the plunge to show the others the way. Animals that manage to avoid the waiting crocodile jaws and cross the river are rewarded with the lush green grass of the Masai Mara.

Dinner overnight at the Serengeti Heritage Lodge. (Lunch is provided)

Day 8 : Safaris in the Serengeti

Today, after breakfast, a game drive is planned to take you from the north to the centre of the Serengeti National Park. Here you will have time to see the animals in their natural habitat. You will arrive in the late afternoon to check in and relax.  (Lunch is provided)

Dinner and overnight at Embalakai Tented Lodge

Day 9 : Enjoy the Seronera National Park Safari and the Serengeti Centre

The whole day is reserved for other safaris in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to an abundance of wildlife, such as impala, buffalo, crocodile and hippo, but is best known for its large migratory herds of zebra and wildebeest.

The range of the animals is determined by rainfall and varies from year to year. In October and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return north. In addition to the migrating herds, you may be lucky enough to see predators such as leopards, cheetahs and lions, always nearby. (Lunch is provided)

Day 10 : From the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you will embark on another incredible safari in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater. Arriving at the crater rim in the afternoon, you will get your first taste of what awaits you the next day: sparkling streams, open grasslands and endless numbers of animals. You will spend the night at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. (Lunch is provided).

Day 11 : Enjoy the picturesque Ngorongoro Crater

©Stephan Szeremeta

Early in the morning after breakfast, we descend to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on earth where animals roam freely in the reserves.

The caldera was formed about three million years ago with the massive explosion of a volcano that rivalled the height of Kilimanjaro. It is 610 m deep and covers about 260 square kilometres. It is a closed ecosystem. The word Ngorongoro represents the sound of the bells that Maasai cows wear around their necks. It is one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five, as well as wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck and many others, as well as about 500 species of birds. You will stop for a picnic lunch by the hippo lake and in the afternoon you will be able to enjoy a game drive.
