Day 2 : Welcome to Yucatán

Free day. Suggested visits:

 

- Today you leave for one of the most majestic sites on the peninsula, Chichen Itza.

- On the way, make a stop in Valladolid. Called the "Sultana of the East".

- In the centre of the city on the Parque Principal, contemplate the baroque cathedral of San Servacio 

- From the Zocalo, walk along the magnificent Calzada de los Frailes.

- Don't forget to make a diversion to Valladolid's most unique monument, the Templo de San Bernadino de Siena and the Sisal Convent.

 

On your way back to Valladolid, take a break at one of the many cenotes in the area.

Cenote Dzitnup, only a few kilometres from Valladolid, is one of the most beautiful.

 

A word of advice: don't forget your swimming costume!

Return to your hotel in Chichen Itza in the late afternoon.

Day 3 : Chichen Itza, the largest site in the Maya world

Breakfast.

This morning you enter the Mayan land, to discover one of the greatest monumental wonders of the planet, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Free day. Suggested visits:

 

- Masterpiece of this colossal complex, 25 meters high, stands the famous Pyramid of Kukulcan.

- The Gran Juego de Pelota, the largest ball game in the Maya world.

- Another major building on the site is the Plaza de las Mil Columnas. 

- Several cenotes are located nearby, including Cenote Ik Kil and Cenote Sagrado.

 

Drive to Merida at the end of the day.

Lunch and dinner at leisure.

Day 5 : Heading for the Mayan shores...

Departure this morning to Tulumau south of the Riviera Maya!

Free day to explore Tulum.

The archaeological site of Tuluma is one of the only Mayan sites located on the sea, offering a dreamy panorama worthy of the most beautiful postcards.

Tulum has preserved its architectural harmony and Mexican authenticity.

The city is also ideally located to discover the Mayan site of Coba and the splendid natural reserve of Sian Ka'an, very close.

 

Free day. Suggested visits:

- 3 km south of Tulum is the Gran Cenote, one of the most beautiful in the region.

- 40 km west of Tulum, go deep into the Yucatecan jungle to discover the magnificent Mayan site of Coba.

- In order to discover this extraordinary architectural complex, we strongly advise you to rent a bicycle.

- The Sian Ka'an Nature Reserve, located south of Tulum, is a must-see for nature lovers.

- The discovery of this natural Eden can be done by boat or kayak, either on your own or with the best guides in the region.
