  Meet at Asahikawa airport before 4 p.m. to meet your hiking guide. He will take you to your inn for a delicious traditional meal. You will enjoy the outdoor hot spring to relax.

  Trek - stage 1

  

  We reach the start of the trek and take the cable car. Off we go to tackle the highest summit on the island, Mount Asahidake, rising to 2291 m. We then make our way along the ridge paths and reach the Hakuundake goya hut for our first night. • D+ 1000 m / D- 650 m (6h30 to 7h of walking) • Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner • Night: refuge

  Trek - stage 2

  

  During this second stage, we first make progress on the high-altitude plateau and its steep slopes. We then reach the summit of Hokkaidake and move along the Takane valley and its magnificent landscapes. Bears are fond of this territory, so we remain on the lookout. We spend the night at the Chubetsudake goya shelter. • D+ 270 m / D- 650 m (5h00 to 5h30 of walking) • Meals: breakfast, picnic and dinner • Night: shelter

  Trek - stage 3

  

  This day allows us to appreciate the richness and diversity of the environment of Daisetsuzan National Park. We approach the Tomoraushi massif. Be attentive: you will hear the pikas present in the area and may even catch a glimpse of them! We pitch the tents at the Minami-Numa campsite, at the foot of the Tomoraushi summit (2141 m). • D+ 485 m / D- 170 m (5 h to 5 h 30 of walking) • Meals: breakfast, picnic and dinner • Night: bivouac

  Trek - stage 4

  

  This stage is definitely the most challenging of the trek. We make our way through the heart of the park, in dense bamboo and conifer vegetation, where only the initiated venture. The stage ends at the Oputateshike campsite, where we bivouac. • D+ 630 m / D- 1000 m (7h30 to 8h of walking) • Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner • Night: bivouac

  Trek - stage 5

  

  The day begins with the ascent of Mount Oputateshike (2040 m). We gradually descend towards the Bieifuji Goya hut. Then, we change environment and enter the volcanic world of Tokachidake. We climb to its summit at 2050 meters before starting the descent towards the Kamihorokamettoku hut, for a welcome rest. • D+ 1250 m / D- 1060 m (7h30 to 8h of walking) • Meals: breakfast, picnic and dinner • Night: unguarded hut

  Trek - stage 6

  

  This final stage first takes us to the summit of Kamihorokamettoku (1900 m), before a round trip to the summit of Mitsumine. We then descend towards Tokachidake onsen, the end of the full crossing of Daisetsuzan National Park! We enjoy the hot spring at the Ryounkaku establishment before heading to Sapporo. • D+ 230 m / D- 790 m (4h to 4h30 of walking) • Access to the thermal baths (onsen) • Transport: transfer between Tokachidake onsen and Sapporo (3h30) • Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner • Night: hotel

  From Sapporo to Shikotsuko

  

  You enjoy the morning at leisure to discover the capital of Hokkaido. In the afternoon, we take the road to Lake Shikotsuko, where we stop for one night in a ryokan with its onsen. Lunch at leisure. • Transport: from Sapporo to Shikotsuko (1h30) • Breakfast and dinner • Night: inn

  Noboribetsu onsen

  

  We head towards the Noboribetsu onsen station, where we discover the majestic site of Hell Valley. We visit the site and continue to the hot springs to soak our feet in a designated area. At the end of the day, we enjoy the magnificent bathing facilities of our hotel. • Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner • Night: hotel

  Back to Tokyo

  

  Our discovery of Hokkaido is coming to an end and we head to Chitose Airport, where we take our flight to Tokyo. You can now explore the Japanese capital! At the end of the day, we share a traditional dinner. Lunch at your leisure. • Meals: breakfast and dinner • Night: hotel
