  Visit to the Paloquemao market, Candelaria, museums, and Monserrate

  

  Early in the morning, let yourself be amazed by the variety of colors and flavors at the typical Paloquemao Market, located in the city center. Stroll among stalls filled with exotic fruits, vibrant flowers, and local delicacies. Here, you will taste typical tropical fruits that you won't find anywhere else, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with friendly vendors in this iconic market. Next, we will take the funicular to the Sanctuary of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate, an imposing summit that offers breathtaking views of Bogotá. You will be amazed by the panoramic view of the city, and you can also explore the sanctuary, a religious symbol for the people of Bogotá, where you will appreciate some of the most representative sculptures of the Catholic community. Then, immerse yourself in the cobbled streets of La Candelaria, a neighborhood that weaves together colonial architecture, vibrant urban art, and hidden cafés in colorful buildings. You will experience its lively atmosphere, with street music and locals going about their daily activities. Here, you will visit Plaza de Bolívar, an iconic site surrounded by impressive buildings, including City Hall, the Houses of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the majestic Primatial Cathedral. You will appreciate the grandeur of these architectural gems and their historical importance, so take the time to observe this wonderful environment. You will continue your experience with museum visits, starting with the Botero Museum, which houses one of the most important collections of international art in Latin America, including works by Fernando Botero, a renowned Colombian artist known for his distinctive style of voluminous figures that reflect the creative expressions of various cultures. (Note: The museum is usually closed on Tuesdays.) Next, you will visit the Gold Museum, a fascinating museum dedicated to pre-Hispanic gold art, with the largest collection of pieces in the world (about 55,000 pieces from various indigenous cultures of Colombia). The cultural significance of these pieces will transport you to the past and provide insights into the rich history of this region. (Note: The museum is usually closed on Mondays.)   Transfer from Bogota to Villa de Leyva; during the transfer, you will be assisted by a guide. Duration: 04:00 hrs Visit to the Laguna de Guatavita. During the journey, we will make a stop at the Laguna de Guatavita, a magical place in the department of Cundinamarca that gave birth to the immortal legend of El Dorado. This sacred lagoon, with its almost perfect crater shape, holds the history and ancestral rituals of the Muisca people. From the entrance of the natural reserve, you will begin a guided uphill hike of about 2 to 3 hours through a páramo ecosystem rich in native flora. The hike will allow you to enjoy the landscape and learn more about its cultural and ecological value before reaching the viewpoint, where the impressive view of the emerald-colored waters will transport you directly to the heart of the myth.

During the journey, we will stop in Zipaquirá, where we will visit the famous Salt Cathedral, built nearly 180 meters underground in a salt mine that dates back to pre-Columbian times.   Explore the Cocora Valley and Salento, an adventure among wax palms and coffee culture

  

  Today, you will experience one of the most representative places in the Coffee Region. You will start your adventure aboard a traditional Willys Jeep from Salento to the picturesque Cocora Valley, a valley famous for its national tree, the wax palm, and its stunning landscapes. The valley is home to important large birds, such as the Andean condor, an emblematic and representative bird of the country. Once there, you will have the opportunity to breathe the mountain air and walk through the foothills of the Andes before returning to Salento. Facing the beautiful green mountains, the small coffee town of Salento is full of traditional charm, with its colorful houses lining its picturesque streets. There, you will have the opportunity to appreciate these vibrant buildings and visit sites of interest, such as Real Street, where you can see a great variety of handicrafts and traditional shops. At the end of this street, you will find a staircase that leads up to Alto de la Cruz, a hill where you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscapes and the Andes mountain range.   Hacienda Combia Coffee Tour

  

  Today, we will have the chance to get behind the scenes of coffee production. We'll shadow the staff at one of the Hacienda Combia locations to see the entire process from start to finish. After seeing the coffee process in the field, we'll set out in search of the end product and enjoy a coffee tasting session. The coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level, which provides ideal growing conditions and contributes to the unique flavors and aromas of the coffee. The hacienda uses sustainable and environmentally friendly practices to cultivate its coffee, ensuring the preservation of the ecosystem and the quality of its product.   Tour of Guatapé and the Rock of Peñol

  

  Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the rural surroundings of Medellín. You will enjoy incredible views of the rolling hills and surrounding vegetation on your way to Guatapé and the Rock of Peñol, two spectacular attractions on the outskirts of Medellín. First, you will be able to appreciate the 200-meter-high monolith, which can be climbed via a staircase of 740 steps, where you will enjoy impressive views of the surroundings, filled with green mountains and blue lakes. From there, you will continue to the town of Guatapé, a place famous for its church and its beautiful, colorful paintings that decorate the houses. You will walk through the cobblestone streets and admire the brightly colored houses adorned with "zócalos" (decorative panels). You will admire the unique architecture that tells stories about the town’s culture and explore the shops and stalls selling handmade souvenirs, textiles, and local artwork. Duration 08:00hrs

  Medellin history of transformation tour

  Cartagena walled city tour

Explore the Historic Center accompanied by a local guide who will show you every detail, from its most emblematic corners to its best-kept secrets. As you visit monuments like the Clock Tower, the Don Pedro de Heredia House, and other less-visited spots in the old city, you will discover how history and everyday life intertwine at every corner. During the tour, you will admire the romantic, Moorish, colonial, military, Arab, Spanish, and North American influences that have shaped this Caribbean gem. You will also visit historically significant places, such as the Inquisition Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings in Cartagena, and the San Pedro Claver Sanctuary, dedicated to the Spanish priest known as the "slave of the slaves."   Isla Grande in Rosario Islands tour

  

  Today, you will enjoy the magic of the Rosario Islands. In the morning, you will be picked up for a private transfer to the harbour, from where you will take a shared transfer to Rosario Island, a charming coral archipelago located only 60 minutes away by speedboat. Upon your arrival, you will have free time to explore this beautiful place and enjoy the beaches of the National Natural Park of Corales. Additionally, you can enjoy a delicious lunch, which is included in your day tour. Optional nautical activities not included (kayaking, snorkelling, etc.) are available upon arrival. Arrival in Cartagena is around 16:00. Free afternoon and evening. Duration: 08:00 hrs Shared transfer by boat to the hotel and vice versa is included. Note on harbour tax: Please be informed that a mandatory harbour tax of COP 29,000 (approximately USD 7.50 per person) is required to be paid before departing to the island. Payments can be made at the harbour and are accepted in cash (Colombian pesos) or by card. The tax is subject to change due to internal decisions of the harbour.
