An Authentic Tour in Cuba!

Discover Cuba in its most authentic form. Immersion in the local population and festive environments, marvel at the rich tropical landscapes, relaxation and snorkeling; you will be conquered by the new circuit! Two weeks await you by car in Cuba.

Day 1: Arrival in Havana

Our representative greets you. He organizes your transfer to the accommodation. The style of the accommodation is a colonial boutique hotel in the Historic Center of Havana. You are immediately in the colonial surroundings of the Old City. Breakfast included.

Day 2: First visits

The Spanish-speaking guide arrives at 9 am and accompanies you on a city tour: he will guide you through the city and the countryside. Depart with a 2-hour trip in a 50s American convertible car, to tour the districts of Vedado, Miramar, and Centro Habana. A walk through the Old City will follow, passing through various plazas and colonial alleys.

Day 3: Free day; discovering Havana

Try a salsa dance class at Casa del Son.

• Take Hemingway's path with his house Finca Vigia, the village Cojimar or visit the numerous bars he frequented in the old town.
• Discover Cuban art at the Museum of Fine Arts and visit galleries or studios of contemporary painters.
• Or simply head to the bars of the Old City for music and mojitos.

In the afternoon you will meet our representative for an explanation of the itinerary. He will accompany you to pick up your rental car.

We advise you to download the http://maps.me app with maps of Cuba. It works like a GPS without needing Internet access on site.

Day 4: Start of the excursion with your car.

You have 3 hours of travel to Viñales.

Suggestion along the way: visit Las Terrazas Park, a reforestation project in a mountainous area. Also visit the village, a reconstruction of a 19th-century French coffee plantation, San Juan River waterfalls (possibility of swimming). (entry 10 euros per person)

In Viñales, you will see beautiful valleys in Cuba's tobacco-growing area.

You will stay in a house in the city center. You have your own room with private bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast included.

You have the option to eat in the village but can also dine at your accommodation.

Day 5: Free day in Viñales.

Suggestion: go out on foot to discover the valley, mogotes, and especially tobacco growers with a horseback ride through the fields. The 3-hour trip ends at Finca Paraíso, an organic farm that can be visited (magnificent view of the valley). Lunch is offered here with, of course, garden produce (horse ride 15 euros per person for 2-3 hours/lunch at Finca Paraíso 15 euros).

Other options: bike ride, canopy (circuit with cables), or enjoy the bars in downtown Viñales.

Free evening.

Day 6: Bay of Pigs (5-hour drive)

Today, we head to the famous Bay of Pigs where the young Cuban Revolution fought against an invasion supported by the United States. You will see many monuments. The area is frequented by snorkeling enthusiasts.

Suggestion: upon arrival visit a crocodile breeding center under scientific control.

You will stay in a house in Playa Larga, near the beach. Breakfast included.

Suggestions:

• This is a paradise for a diving trip. You need to arrive in the morning at one of the dive centers along the coast (Playa Larga hotel, Caleta Buena, Cueva de los Peces, Hotel Playa Girón,…).
• A nature walk around the bay. You will observe birds and flora of this swampy area. The walk ends at a cenote, a natural pond in the middle of the forest where you can swim.
• Visit the Museum of the Bay of Pigs Attack or go to Cueva de los Peces. Possibility to snorkel just off the coast.

Day 7: Free day in Bay of Pigs.

Day 8: Visit Cienfuegos.

Direction Cienfuegos, a colonial city founded by French settlers 200 years ago. Visit the city center with its authentic style from Parque Martí, Teatro Terry, Prado Boulevard, Palacio Valle and Punta Gorda neighborhood. In the afternoon direction Trinidad, colonial city and highlight of your trip.

On the way we recommend stopping at Cienfuegos dolphin center for a swim. (2-hour drive)

In Trinidad you stay in a house in the city center. You have your own room with private bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast included.

Day 9: Free day in Trinidad.

Suggestions: Visit the historic center of town with entry to one of its museums. Continue visiting Valle de los Ingenios with Manaca Iznaga or another 18th-century hacienda active in sugar production.

: head for the mountains to visit Topes de Collantes park. You can take walks through forests leading to a wild waterfall.

Day 10: Departure to Cayo Cruz.

Continue discovering cities like Sancti Spiritus and Camaguey, other pearls of colonial cities less visited than Trinidad. After Camagüey head north until reaching Cayo Cruz. Cayo Cruz is an island from Jardines del Rey in northern Cuba, wild with only 2 operational hotels facing magnificent beach views. (Today’s journey takes 6 hours).

You will stay for the next 3 nights at Marina Plaza SPA, a 4* all-inclusive hotel. Located facing Cayo Cruz beach, it is relatively small with only 60 rooms.

You can visit other islands; Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Paredon. (accessible by car)

Days 11 – 12 : Stay at Cayo Cruz (drinks and meals included).

Day 13 : Direction Remedios

Take route through Cayo Coco back down again onto big island Cuba. By northern route reach Remedios—charming town full colonial charm—and stay charming Barcelona hotel downtown (4-hour drive).

Day 14: Departure for Havana
