Arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport.You will be welcomed at Dar es Salaam airport by your driver/guide and our representative. We will take you to the Slipway hotel for the night.
day 2
Departure from Dar Es Salaam - Selous Game ReserveAfter breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel, and we will drive you to the Selous reserve (4-5 hours). In the afternoon, you will go on a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. You will be able to observe many hippos, crocodiles, and birds there. Overnight at Selous River Camp (full board).
day 3
Selous Game ReserveYou will take part in a full day of private safari in the Selous reserve, the largest nature reserve in Africa with 54,600 km², larger than Denmark and four times bigger than the Serengeti. Selous is home to the largest number of big game animals in the world: elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses. You will also find wildebeest, elands, giraffes, deer, zebras, impalas, hippos, leopards, and lions, not to mention more than 350 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Selous River Camp (full board).
day 4
Departure from the Selous Game Reserve - Mikumi National ParkEarly in the morning, walking safari and visit of the village surroundings before returning to the camp for breakfast. After lunch, departure by 4x4 to cross the Selous Game Reserve, then you will continue to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon 4x4 safari. Overnight at Stanley's Kopje Camp (full board).
day 5
Mikumi National ParkFull day 4x4 safari in Mikumi National Park. Night at Stanley's Kopje Camp. During the safari, you will be able to observe a wide variety of bird species, as well as many giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also spot African lions and leopards. Animals that may be seen include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and antelopes. (Full board)
day 6
On the way to Ruaha National Park.Morning safari with picnic breakfast, then departure for Ruaha National Park. Lunch en route. In the afternoon, you will reach the Ruaha River Lodge. Many species of birds, wildflowers, butterflies, and trees can be observed nearby. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge (full board).
day 7
Ruaha National ParkAfter breakfast, full day of game viewing in Ruaha National Park, with picnic lunch. Ruaha covers an area of 10,300 km²; it is the second largest park and the second largest elephant reserve in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River, which flows along its eastern border, creates gorges and spectacular landscapes, with a large number of hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge (full board).
day 8
Second day at Ruaha National Park.To get to know this immense park, we reserve a second day for you on site with the same program. You will have a second chance to observe the great variety of animals that inhabit the park, including the greater and lesser kudu, the roan antelope, and the sable antelope. Birdlife is also rich, with more than 370 species recorded. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge (full board).
day 9
On the way to Udzungwa Mountains National ParkAfter breakfast, transfer to Hondo Tented Camp, lunch en route. In the afternoon, walking tour of the village of Mang'ula: you will get an insight into typical Tanzanian daily life. Back at the camp before dinner, take the opportunity to observe the baboons from the spectacular bar while admiring the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp (Hondo Hondo).
day 10
Hiking in Udzungwa - Sanje WaterfallsAfter breakfast, you will head to the entrance of the park. You will start walking through the magnificent primary forest to the base, then to the top of the spectacular Sanje waterfall, which is 180 meters high, in search of primates (Iringa red colobus and Sanje mangabey). Dive and swim in the pools, observe the endemic African violets growing in the spray zones, and have lunch in the forest at the top of the falls. Descend after enjoying superb views, then return to camp in the late evening for a hot dinner and overnight at Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp (Hondo Hondo).
day 11
Transfer to Dar es SalaamAfter breakfast, transfer to Dar Es Salaam – lunch box provided.
