Trip Description

You are now in Uganda for an ultimate 12-day safari, discovering mountain gorillas and wildlife in our preserved nature. This is the time to create memories you will cherish for the rest of your life. You will trek among the rhinos at Zziwa, visit Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park to observe chimpanzees, Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife, then head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to meet the mountain gorillas. You will then rest at Lake Bunyonyi after a long safari, then return to Entebbe. Let's get started!

    Arrival in Entebbe

    After a long flight from your country, our company representative will pick you up at the airport and introduce you to your driver-guide, who will check you into your reserved lodge. If your arrival is during the day, we can arrange optional activities in the city.

  • day 2

    Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Zziwa.

    After your breakfast in Entebbe, you will be immediately transferred to Murchison Falls National Park, which is home to the most powerful waterfall in the world! But before we check in, we will make a stop at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place where you can meet rhinos in the wild in Uganda. Then, we will head to the park later. On the way to checking in at your lodge, we will first enjoy the top of Murchison Falls inside the park. Travel time: about 6 hours.

    Game Drive, boat cruise on the Nile

    It's morning, around 6am, after breakfast, and here we are in the wild! We drive through lush bushes and brown roads, enjoying the spectacle of the animals. Look for elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, among others. You're amazed, aren't you? That's not all. We go down by boat to the foot of the Murchison Falls. It's a breathtaking view and you have about 3 hours of cruising on the longest river in the world.

    Transfer to Kibale National Park for the chimpanzees.

    Chimpanzees, chimpanzees! Let's leave our lodge in Murchison Falls National Park and take this long drive to Kibale National Park, the primate capital of the world. Yes, you heard right! This forest is home to the largest concentration of primates in the world.

    Trekking with chimpanzees, walk in the Bigodi swamp.

    Have you ever drunk a local banana drink? Without preservatives, organic and purely natural? Or, let's start by going to see the chimpanzees in the forest, we'll come back to this later. Haha... You will be dropped off by your guide at the starting point of the forest, briefed by rangers, then you will enter the forest in small groups to observe these humble chimpanzees. They are incredible.

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Yeah! The chimpanzees are done. It's time to slow down a bit. Enjoy the scenery and the beautifully formed crater lakes as you check in to your lodge booked in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel time: about 2 hours.

    Game Drive, boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel

    You heard right! After exhausting your enthusiasm seeing hippos, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, among others, you will board a boat, sailing along the Kazinga Channel; a strip of water that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. Incredible, isn't it? Here, you will find animals feeding, including crocodiles, elephants, hippos, and more. We will then return to the lodge and relax. There will still be time to pack your bags. We are heading towards what most people consider the highlight of their safari, the next day!

    Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

    Travel time, hey! Enjoy the beauty that western Uganda has to offer. Here, I will let the countryside tell the story for you. Have a good trip to Bwindi. Travel time: about 6 hours.

    Gorilla Trekking

    The day is here. Breakfast? Checked! A packed lunch? Checked! The melodious birds welcome you to the mountain gorillas. You will be briefed and grouped in 8. Trek, trek, trek. Jump a few rivers and walk along the waterfalls if you can, but we must see the gorillas! For one hour, you are in Gorilla space! Breathtaking! Take as many photos as possible. It’s a unique experience, my dear. Enjoy it. You deserve some rest after that. You have the whole evening to yourself.

    Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

    Well, the journey has been long so far. You deserve a relaxed atmosphere, a calm environment, and a good sip of wine. Relax today and get ready to return to Entebbe tomorrow. Travel time: about 3 hours.

    Return to Entebbe

    Return to Kampala/Entebbe. You will stop at the equator line for lunch and to take photos. Travel duration: Approximately 9 hours.

    Transfer to Entebbe International Airport.
