• day 1

  GABORONE

  Arrival at Gaborone Sir Seretse Khama airport. Meet with the Savanna Safaris representative. You will walk to the rental car to pick up the 2x4 or 4x4 vehicle. The drivers register for the vehicle, then proceed to inspect it. (Enjoy a discount on the car rental, by credit card) You will then leave for your Peermont Walmont hotel at the Grand Palm or a similar establishment. Dinner, then overnight at the hotel.

  TULI BLOCK / MASHATU

  After breakfast, departure from Gaborone for the Mashatu tented camp via Palapye and Selebi Pikwe, about 7 hours by road. Late arrival and lunch at the camp. Games in the Mashatu reserve. Dinner and overnight stay.

• day 3

  MASHATU / TULI BLOCK

  Wake up, tea and coffee at the lodge, then a morning of games. Return to the camp for brunch. Games or nature walks. Dinner and night at the camp.

• day 5

  SEROWE KHAMA SANCTUARY

  Morning of optional activities Breakfast at the lodge Departure from Mashatu for the Khama Rhino Sanctuary in Serowe. The journey takes about 4 hours by road to Serowe. The Khama Rhino Sanctuary is located 10 km from Serowe. It offers a catering chalet, but there is also a restaurant at the lodge and meals can be pre-booked.   BOTETI RIVER / WEST ENTRANCE TO MAKGADIKGADI NATIONAL PARK

  Early morning departure, then a journey of about 5h. Late arrival for lunch or tea. During this day, you can relax at Meno a Kwena Lodge, with a view of the game coming to the river by car. Dinner and overnight stay.

  MAKGADIKGADI NATIONAL PARK

  Breakfast at the lodge Early departure for Makgadikgadi N. Park National Park with packed lunch. Full day safari by car. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight stay.

• day 8

  GWETA - EDGE OF MAKGADIKGADI

  Morning walk at Bushmen, then return for brunch. Departure from Meno a Kwena for Planet Baobab located in Gweta. The journey will take 2h40. Lunch at the lodge. Sunset walk, dinner and overnight stay.

• day 9

  Night under the stars at the PAN

  Departure for the village of Gweta. You will have the opportunity to meet the community, for example, discover the traditional heel, the traditional cattle trading post, and visit a local alternative school. Free day. Lunch in Gweta then return to the lodge. At 2 p.m., departure for the Ntwetwe Pan expedition: you will leave with your guide to the edge of the Pan, followed by a ride on 4x4 bikes to the sleeping place. Spend time with the habituated Meerkats. Your guide will organize, with your help, an outdoor barbecue dinner. Night under the stars.

• day 10

  Okavango Delta

  Early breakfast in the morning, then departure from Planet Baobab around 9:00 am. Short break at the lodge. 10:30 am: on-time departure for Maun with 2h30 of driving, arrival around 1:00 pm. Night in Maun or Etsa 6. Night at the lodge.

  SHAKAWE

  After breakfast Departure from Maun to Shakawe after breakfast, 4/5 hours drive. Arrival at Shakawe River refuge in the late afternoon Lunch You can relax at the lodge or try the boat cruise Dinner and overnight stay

• day 12

  SHAKAWE / TSODILO HILLS

  After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day excursion to Tsodilo Hills, with a driver-guide for lunch. Tsodilo Hills is about 1 hour's drive from Shakawe River Lodge. A San guide (bushman guide) will be waiting for you at the gate and will take you up the hill, explaining the history of the hills as well as the cultural significance of the bushmen paintings. Your lunch will be served on the hill. After lunch, you will complete the excursion and return to the lodge. Return to the lodge around 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Afternoon tea. Dinner and overnight at Shakawe River Lodge.

  Okavango Delta

  Early breakfast at the lodge 7:30 am: departure for Maun, about 4/5 hours drive Arrival at Maun airport at 1:30 pm Drop off the vehicle at Maun airport at the end of the self-drive safari (remember to fill up the fuel tank) 2:00 pm: departure by charter flight to the Okavango Delta, about 25 minutes Arrival at the camp Lunch at the camp, followed by hot tea Start of the safari activity at 3:00 pm Dinner and overnight stay

• day 14

  Okavango Delta

  6:30 am: departure for the morning activity On this day, you will explore the day in search of birds and their calls. It's an amazing way to experience the Delta and many guests leave with a greater appreciation for the smaller life, as opposed to the usual big five. Brunch at the camp Free afternoon. Tea is served from 3 pm. Afternoon activities start at 3:30 pm and will last about 2.5 hours.

• day 15

  KASANE/CHOBE

  Early wake-up, hearty breakfast. On the way for a game ride, then heading to the airstrip for a charter flight to Kasane. Arrival at Kasane airport, welcome and transfer to Chobe Safari Lodge or Bush Lodge. Lunch at the lodge. Start of the cruise from 3:00 pm for 2.5 hours, then return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.

• day 16

  KASANE/CHOBE

  Breakfast at the lodge 9am: Departure for a full day of private tour in Chobe with a packed lunch. Return in the late afternoon Dinner and overnight stay.

• day 17

  Victoria Falls

  Early morning wake-up 07:20: You will be picked up for the transfer to Victoria Falls. The journey takes about 1h30, including border formalities. Arrival at Victoria Falls, visit of the falls (usually 2 hours). Lunch. Dinner. You can choose to try a different cuisine, away from your hotel, for example at the traditional Boma restaurant. Night at the hotel.

• day 18

  DEPARTURE

  After breakfast, transfer to Victoria Falls airport for an international flight to JHB.
