Trip Description

Enjoy a 3-day safari in the largest national park in Tanzania, one of the most popular destinations on the southern Tanzania safari circuit. This park is home to the largest elephant population in the country, estimated at 12,000 individuals. You will also be able to observe buffaloes, greater and lesser kudus, Grant's gazelles, wild dogs, ostriches, cheetahs, roan antelopes, and sable antelopes. Ruaha is also home to more than 400 bird species, making it a perfect destination for birdwatching enthusiasts.

day 1
Dar es Salaam - Ruaha National Park
You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transferred to the airport for your charter flight which will depart at 8:15 am for Ruaha National Park. After a 3-hour flight, you will land at the Msembe airstrip in Ruaha. You will then be picked up by your driver-guide with an open-roof safari vehicle, who will take you to your lodge for lunch before the start of the safari. Relax a bit at the lodge, enjoy the scenery, then set off for a half-day game drive until evening. You will have dinner at 7:30 pm, then spend the night at Mdonya Old River Camp.
day 2
Ruaha National Park
You will have your breakfast at 7:00 am, and at 8:00 am, you will take a lunch box to go on a safari in Ruaha National Park, where you will spend a full day. You will be able to observe fabulous game, enjoy this remote stronghold of spectacular wilderness, untouched wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes until the evening. Dinner at 7:30 pm, then overnight at Mdonya River Camp.
day 3
Ruaha National Park - Dar es Salaam
Breakfast will be served at 7:00 a.m., with a lunch box; at 8:00 a.m., you will leave for a half-day safari until noon, where you will have your lunch at 12:30. After your lunch, your driver-guide will take you to the Msembe airstrip for your return flight to Dar es Salaam.
