A trip during which travelers visit the Charyn Canyon (national park), the Kaindy and Kolsay lakes (national park), as well as the Altyn Emel national park with its colorful mountains and singing dune.

Trip Description

Useful information: To go down into the canyon (the lower trail) and towards Lake Kolsay, travelers must take the steps (50 and 150). The walk in the colorful mountains is quite easy, as there is little elevation gain. The walk to Lake Kaindy requires more physical effort. The price per person is valid if 4 people are in the car and for the following dates in 2025: From February 15 to 19 From February 21 to 28 From March 1 to 7

day 1
Almaty - Charyn Canyon - Saty village
Departure from Almaty towards the Charyn Canyon, located 200 km from the city. The walk in the canyon can last between 2h and 4h. We get back in the car to arrive in a mountain village, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a guesthouse.
day 2
Saty - Lake Kaindy - Lake Kolsay - Saty
After breakfast, we set off on the mountain trail towards the original Kaindy lake. In the middle of this lake, you can see submerged tree trunks. The walk can last between 2 and 3 hours. Return to the village for lunch, then departure to Kolsay lake for a walk of 1 to 3 hours. Return to the village. Dinner and overnight in the same village.
day 3
Saty-dune chantante - Baschi village
After breakfast, we head towards the Altyn Emel natural park. On the way, it is possible to stop to admire the Tiger mountains. After lunch in the village of the park, we head towards the singing dune. After a walk on the dune or in the surrounding area, we return to the village to have dinner and spend the night in a guesthouse.
day 4
Village, colorful mountains, petrified lava rocks, Almaty
After breakfast, we set off to discover the colorful mountains and petrified lava rocks. The road is off-road/a track. Lunch is a packed meal. After the walk, the last site is a 700-year-old tree where we stop for about 10-15 minutes. Return to Almaty in the evening.
