This always depends on your preferred choice of pickup. You will then drive through the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Narok County, the land of the Maa people. Maasai Mara National Reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and as the home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. The inter-county borders are what have split the two great national parks. Arrive for lunch at the lodge/camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Accommodation: Chui Mara Camp.
day 2
Maasai Mara National ReserveOn the second day, you will wake up and have your morning breakfast ready to be served. Today, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the reserve, with your picnic lunch. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The Mara Triangle, bordering the Mara River with lush grassland and acacia woodlands, is always good for a game drive. The Mara is perhaps best known for the Great Migration, which takes place every year from July to September. During these months, the yellow savannah is dotted black by more than 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food and water.
