Embark on a remarkable 6-day safari through some of Tanzania’s most celebrated national parks and landscapes. Begin with a game drive in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Travel along the Great Rift Valley escarpment, pausing to take in panoramic views of this awe-inspiring geological feature. Your adventure continues in the legendary Serengeti National Park, where endless plains stretch to the horizon, offering prime opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and the great migration (seasonal). Finally, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most unique wildlife habitats on Earth, home to an astonishing concentration of animals, including the rare black rhino.     You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (approximately one hour, depending on traffic). Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to explore the hotel grounds, take a dip in the swimming pool, or participate in any of the additional activities offered.     After having breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up by your driver-guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is one of the largest parks in Tanzania and is located in the Manyara region. It is characterized by large herds of elephants and tree-climbing lions that call it home, as well as the fascinating baobab trees, which are renowned for their mythical powers by some of the local cultures. The Tarangire River flows through the park year-round and is the only source of water for the animals during the dry season. Accommodation: Kankari Lodge or similar

    After breakfast, you will depart towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu, in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for a short look into the crater from a viewing point. Continuing your journey around the crater, you will descend the other side, enjoying your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park. At the Naabi Hill entrance gate, you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the plains of the Serengeti savannah. You will then continue towards the Seronera Area in the central part of the Serengeti. The park offers a multitude of wildlife, including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard.     Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and large predator population. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeest (gnu) migrates through the Western Corridor of the park in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti’s other animal attractions include lion, leopard, zebra, Thomson's gazelle, impala, Grant’s gazelle, and buffalo.     We take an early breakfast at the camp and then head to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, we go through the registration process and descend to the floor of the world’s largest unbroken caldera for a wonderful day of game viewing. We will have lunch at the designated picnic site by the hippo pool and continue with a game drive as we ascend the crater rim for the night. Accommodation: Kankari Lodge or similar

    Karatu – Arusha Town – JRO Airport – Home – HB

    After breakfast, we explore the colourful town of Mto-wa-Mbu for some last-minute pictures and curio shopping. Afterwards, we head to Arusha town, then to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your international flight back home. We hope to welcome you again on one of our African adventures!
