Arrival in TanzaniaWelcome to Tanzania! As your plane descends at Kilimanjaro International Airport, between the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, your adventure in the country's wilderness will finally begin. A representative will greet you in the airport arrivals hall, and together, you will take a short drive to the lodge, just outside the city. Our safari manager will come to meet you and give you a safari briefing. A wonderful homemade dinner will be served on site, either in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. Day 9: Lake Manyara - Arusha After breakfast, the journey continues. You will have a wonderful experience visiting Lake Manyara National Park. The protected area encompasses much of the alkaline lake of the same name. This amazing lake hosts, depending on the season, a huge colony of flamingos as well as many other water birds. On the shores of the lake, you can also observe elephants, hippos, buffaloes, monkeys, banded mongooses, and many types of gazelles and antelopes. In addition, the park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Visitors can regularly see lions napping in the canopies or seeking to escape the heat on the ground. After observing the animals and exploring the national park, you will leave the park in the afternoon and head to Kirurumu Manyara Lodge. Soon, the higher lands are reached and a magnificent view of the Maasai plains and Lake Manyara opens up before you. Photo stops will be planned so you can enjoy these spectacular views. Day 10: Transfer to the airport (Arusha/Kilimanjaro) After breakfast at the lodge, we will transfer you to the airport for your return flight. Arusha National ParkThe day begins with breakfast and a picnic around the lodge grounds, accompanied by the observation of finches, variable sunbirds, bulbuls, and olive thrushes. Breakfast and departure for Arusha National Park with our hearty packed lunches. Visit the various crater lakes where you can observe maccoa ducks, Egyptian geese, Hottentot teals, comb ducks, and many unusual waders. You will also be able to discover a wide variety of animals, including the blue monkey and the black-and-white colobus. If you are lucky, you might also spot a shy red duiker. The Kirk's dik-dik, even smaller, is more common. Giraffes are very common in the area around the Momella lakes. Late in the evening, you will drive to Mto wa Mbu. Tarangire National Park, 130 kilometers by car, two hours by road.After breakfast at the camp, you leave early for Tarangire National Park. It is the third largest park in Tanzania and is characterized by the incredible large herds of elephants that can be found in this park. The baobabs are one of the other jewels of Tarangire, and the Tarangire River, which flows all year round, is the lifeblood of the park. Many animals, both predators and prey, gather around the river where you can have excellent game viewing. After an evening safari in the late afternoon, you will return to your campsite. Tarangire Serengeti National ParkBreakfast will take place at 8 in the morning. Departure to the Great Serengeti National Park with your picnic via the Ngorongoro Crater. The Serengeti National Park is home to the lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodiles and much more. The Serengeti is one of the most comprehensive and attractive presentations on nature, conservation, and research in general. Every day, hundreds of nature lovers and tourists from all over the world visit the virtual Serengeti. Nowadays, it is one of the most famous national parks on Earth, renowned for its magnificent lions, but especially for its great migration. Katikati Tented Lodge.
day 5
Part of the central Serengeti to the north.After breakfast, continue with 4x4 safaris in the morning and afternoon in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti National Park is famous for its "Great Migration": more than one million wildebeest and over two hundred thousand zebras follow the rains each year. In October and November, they travel from the northern mountains to the south to the plains, in search of lush pastures. After the great rainy season of April, May, and June, the herds make their return journey. Even without this mass migration, the Serengeti remains an exciting and spectacular place that cannot fail to thrill. Dinner and overnight at Mara under canvas.
day 6
Day 6Start early with your Bushman guide to meet the Hadzabe. Enjoy the Hadzabe tour by walking in the bush with the only remaining hunter-gatherers in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their camps according to the seasonal movements of wildlife. Your guide is part of the group and will teach you more about how they hunt, track wildlife, make fire, and even take honey from beehives, before introducing you to his people and explaining a bit more about their customs and way of life. You will return to camp for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Ganako Luxury Lodge.
day 7
From the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro CraterAfter breakfast, we will continue with game viewing en route in the Serengeti for three hours. Then, we will continue game viewing up to the Nabi gate for lunch. After that, we will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight at the lodge, or at another similar lodge located in the Ngorongoro Crater.
day 8
From the Ngorongoro Crater to Lake ManyaraThat day, we will start early in the morning at 07:00 for the safari (with a picnic breakfast) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater, with its 2000-foot-high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. Your driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. After all the exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater, we will head to the Maramboi Tented Lodge.
