  • day 1

    Arrival in Antananarivo

Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, located in Antananarivo, you will be warmly welcomed by your friendly driver, who will take you to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day resting in order to tackle the coming days in great shape.

  • day 2

    Direction Andasibe

After a good early breakfast, you will head towards Andasibe, located 150 km from the capital. During your car journey, you will pass through large eucalyptus forests, rice fields, and be able to admire the beauty of the typical highland landscapes and their terraced slopes. You will make a short stop at Mandraka to visit the Pereyras reserve, a breeding and reproduction center for many species of butterflies, chameleons, reptiles, and amphibians native to Madagascar. This center is intended to repopulate regions where these species are threatened with extinction due to constant deforestation and frequent bush fires. You will continue your journey to Andasibe, where you can visit the private Vakona reserve and meet the lemurs, the most famous species of the great island. A night visit in search of nocturnal lemurs, whose eyes shine in the trees, such as the lepilemurs or the mouse lemurs, can be organized.

  • day 3

Discovery of the Analamazaotra Special Reserve

Découverte de la réserve spéciale d'Analamazaotra

Today, you will begin an excursion lasting 2 to 3 hours of walking towards the exceptional Analamazaotra Special Reserve. This reserve is notable for being home to the legendary indri indri, the largest of the lemurs, but also the loudest due to its plaintive call. Unlike all other lemurs, it does not have a tail, having only a stump instead. Moreover, it is also the stronghold of 11 other species of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs, such as the common brown lemur (Eulemur fulvus fulvus), the red-bellied lemur (Eulemur rubriventer), the woolly avahi (Avahi laniger), the eastern lesser bamboo lemur (Hapalemur griseus), and the black-and-white ruffed lemur. You will also find enigmatic insects, chameleons, tenrecs, and colorful birds. The lush vegetation of this reserve also has its own treasures, such as endless lianas, pandanus, precious trees such as rosewood, tree ferns, lichens, epiphytic orchids, and medicinal plants.

  • day 4

    Flight to Anjajavy

This morning, you will take a flight to Anjajavy, located in the northwest of the country. You will stay in a luxury hotel on the Mozambique Channel, where you can enjoy various activities and have a good time on the fine white sand beaches.

  • day 5

    Snorkeling in Anjajavy

On this new sunny day, you can enjoy various water and/or outdoor activities. Anjajavy has a snorkeling spot where you can discover the splendid marine life. For the less sporty, the beautiful paradise beaches, separated by baobabs, and spa sessions will allow you to fully relax.

  • day 6

    Excursion in the Tsingy

    Excursion dans les Tsingy

If you wish, you will have the opportunity to discover the wild fauna and flora through the dry forest. You will again be able to observe the endemic species of Madagascar, namely the different families of lemurs (sifaka, brown lemurs, and perhaps mouse lemurs), but also go hiking in the stalactite/stalagmite caves and the Tsingy.

  • day 7

    Free day

You will have the day free to do whatever you wish. If you are short of ideas, we recommend an excursion to the heart of the Anjajavy private reserve. For plant lovers, you will discover more than 1800 plant species, most of which are endemic, as well as many medicinal plants.
