New Year in Cassis, a hike in Provence to discover the Calanques of Cassis, Cap Canaille as well as the Calanques of Marseille, Sormiou, Morgiou, and Sugiton. New Year's hike to discover the charming port of Cassis and the spectacular calanques. This small fishing port, nestled between the two exceptional natural sites of the famous calanques massif and the majestic Cap Canaille, will offer you a concentrate of Provence and the Mediterranean. The daily hikes will take you to discover a wild, preserved, and charming nature. You will discover the Calanque de Sugiton, the Col de la Candelle, La Ciotat, and the highest sea cliffs in Europe, Cap Canaille. To finish, on the last day, a loop walk on the Fontasse plateau above the Calanque d'En Vau, returning via the Calanques of Port Pin and Port Miou... Not to mention the New Year's Eve in Cassis!

Cassis - La Ciotat - Cassis - New Year's Eve Party
Bus transfer to La Ciotat, its traditional port and its massifs of colorful rocks with extravagant shapes. Stroll in the Mugel park, then ascent to the Bec de l'Aigle semaphore (3160 m) and the summit of the Soubeyrannes cliffs. Spectacular stage along ridges overlooking the sea, which we follow to Cassis: passing over the highest sea cliffs in Europe, Cap Canaille (363 m), before descending to the charming Anse de l'Arène. Grand and spectacular views over the bay of Cassis and the Calanques massif. New Year's Eve dinner at a restaurant in Cassis. Walking time: about 5 hours. Ascent: + 600 m. Descent: - 600 m. Short transfer by bus or personal cars to the starting point of the hike. Magnificent loop in the heart of the Calanques massif, in a wild and preserved nature. Stunning views over the bay of Marseille and the protected Riou archipelago. Amazing views of the Calanques of Sormiou, Morgiou, and Sugiton. Walking time: about 5 hours. Cassis - Calanques of En-Vau and Port Pin - End of the stay
Departure on foot from Cassis and crossing of the Fontasse plateau above the En Vau calanque. Return along the seashore and the magnificent calanques of Port Pin and Port Miou, long calanques bordered by cliffs steeped in history. End of the stay around 4 p.m. in Cassis. Walking time: about 4 hours. Positive elevation gain: +400 m. Negative elevation loss: -400 m. Meals included: breakfast, lunch. Meals not included: dinner.
