  Rio de Janeiro - Arrival

  

  Welcome at the airport by our French-speaking guide. Transfer and check-in at the ARENA LEME hotel - SEA VIEW ROOM. As this is a tailor-made trip, we adapt the schedule of visits according to flight times. After a long flight from France (+/-11h) and the time difference, we generally suggest a bit of rest before starting the visits. However, we remain open to any wishes you may have. Free afternoon. Dinner at leisure.

  Corcovado and Sugarloaf

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. In the morning, visit to Christ offering an indescribable view of the bay of Rio de Janeiro. "Corcovado" is a distortion of the word "hunchback" in Portuguese to designate the mountain, which dominates Rio from its 710 meters and on which stands the giant statue (38 m high, 28 m wide) of Christ the Redeemer, created by the French sculptor Paul Landowski. With his open arms, he personifies the welcome and hospitality of the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. The panorama will allow you to understand its layout. One of the most beautiful views of Rio... Unforgettable! Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, visit to Sugarloaf Mountain, ascent by cable car. You will enjoy the superb view of Guanabara Bay. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

  Colonial Rio

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. In the morning, private tour of colonial Rio with a bilingual French-speaking guide. Walk in old Rio: cultural corridor, Tiradentes Palace, Lapa dos Mercadores Church, Praça XV, Casa França-Brasil, Candelária Church, Saint Benedict Monastery and its church covered in gold. We will finish the tour with a visit to the superb modern metropolitan cathedral, inspired by an Inca temple. In the afternoon, visit the Santa Teresa district and discover the Selarón steps. Lunch at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

  On the way to Manaus

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. Private transfer to Rio airport. Flight to Manaus. Welcome and transfer to the Saint Paul hotel, with a view of the Manaus theater. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

• day 5

  Amazonia

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant in Manaus. Transfer to the Tupana Lodge in the Amazon, passing by the Meeting of the Waters. The journey alternates between land and river transfers. Welcome at the Lodge. Welcome cocktail. Lunch at the Lodge. In the afternoon, motorboat excursion to discover the region. Return to the Lodge around 6:30 pm and dinner at the Lodge. In the evening, after dinner, observation of nocturnal animals. The silence allows you to listen to the different sounds of the forest. The main attraction is the "capture" of caimans. Return and overnight at the Lodge. In the Amazon, we offer a choice between several lodges, or even boats depending on your wishes and the time you have available. Some lodges are located 4 hours from Manaus. We also take into account if you are traveling as a family, with children. WE SUGGEST OTHER LODGES IN THE AMAZON ACCORDING TO YOUR WISHES / HOTEL HABITS... We can offer you several alternatives.

  Amazon rainforest

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. Morning: walk in the forest with a specialist guide, where you can appreciate the beauty and feel the energy of the Amazon rainforest. Return to the Lodge. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon: motorboat tour to fish for piranhas. On the way back to the Lodge, watch the sunset. Dinner at the Lodge. Night at the Lodge.

• day 7

  Amazonia and its inhabitants

  

  Very early in the morning, rowing boat tour for bird and pink dolphin watching. Return to the Lodge. Breakfast at the Lodge. Then, boat trip to visit the locals, where you can discover their culture and customs. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon, rowing boat trip to contemplate nature, the igapós (flooded forests) and the rivers. Dinner at the Lodge. Night at the Lodge.

  Manaus - Fortaleza - Canoa Quebrada

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the Lodge. Return transfer to Manaus airport. Lunch at leisure. Flight to Fortaleza. Welcome at the airport and private transfer to the Long Beach hotel in Canoa Quebrada. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Depending on the flight schedule, we may plan an overnight stay in Fortaleza.

  Canoa Quebrada

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. Rest day before the great buggy adventure. The buggy tour between Fortaleza and Natal, or in the opposite direction, is among the best buggy tours in Brazil. The trip is done over 4 days and 3 nights, or 5 days and 4 nights. Our goal is to avoid paved roads. Thus, over a distance of +/- 550 km, 80% of the route is along the beaches. Information: Departure times will be determined according to the tides. Lunch stops (not included) are always made in clean restaurants, and meals are adapted to the clientele. During the stay, if a buggy has a mechanical problem, our agency guarantees the repair or substitution of the buggy (in the case where our drivers drive the buggies). Clients will not be able to drive the buggies in prohibited areas such as Genipabu (without an international license) or in areas considered risky. During the 1st day, the drivers will check the clients' skill and experience in driving the buggies. Clients will have the pleasure of driving the buggies on the beaches of the Northeast in areas considered not risky. We emphasize safety standards to ensure the successful completion of the trip. Lunch and dinner at leisure. Overnight in Canoa Quebrada.

  Porto do Mangue

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel. Departure for the buggy tour with destination the small village of PORTO DO MANGUE (Ponta do Mel). Lunch and dinner at your leisure. Overnight in a pousada.

• day 11

  Galinhos

  

  After breakfast, continue the buggy tour to reach Galinhos. Lunch and dinner at your leisure. Overnight in a pousada.

• day 12

  Sao Miguel do Gostoso

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. Continue by buggy to São Miguel do Gostoso. Lunch and dinner at your leisure. Overnight in a pousada.

• day 13

  Arrival in Natal

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. You will pass by the beaches and tourist sites of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, including the beautiful dunes of Genipabu. You can take the opportunity to go sand sledding there. You will pass by the beaches of Muriu, Jacuma, Pitangui, and Genipabu before arriving in Natal. Check-in at the hotel. Lunch and dinner at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

  Back to Rio de Janeiro

  

  Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. Free morning in Natal. Early in the afternoon, transfer to the airport. Flight to Rio de Janeiro. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Lunch and dinner at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel. OPTIONS: Instead of returning to Rio de Janeiro, it is possible to arrange departure from Natal with TAP airline. Also, if you would like a bit of rest before leaving, we suggest the small village of Praia de Pipa, about 1h15 by road from NATAL.
