day 3
Thrissur - Ayurvedic Treatment (Day 03 to Day 07)The next five days (Day 3 to Day 7) will be devoted to yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic treatments, and relaxation. History: Did you know that, in Ayurvedic philosophy, the universe is composed of five elements: air, fire, water, earth, and space? These elements are represented in humans by three doshas or energies: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. When one of the doshas accumulates in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance. Each individual has a distinct balance. Our health and well-being depend on the proper balance of the three doshas. Ayurveda suggests a lifestyle and specific nutritional guidelines to help individuals maintain the balance between the doshas. The Ayurvedic treatment you will receive will, among other things, restore any possible imbalance between these elements. The Ayurveda system is not only aimed at improving your general well-being and health, but also at enhancing your holistic well-being. Ayurveda offers a framework in which we can rework our lifestyle to optimize our bodily functions. This age-old healing tradition uses herbs and natural oils, all of which have immense medicinal value. The systems created are based on more than 5,000 years of knowledge passed down by the Vedas. You will attend a yoga session every day and 1h30 to 2h30 of Ayurvedic care and treatments per day (according to the Ayurvedic doctor's protocol, each day the treatments may be different, and so may their duration). The daily yoga and meditation sessions are included in the stay. All medicines during the treatment are included. During your free time, enjoy the enchanting setting of your accommodation: nature, swimming pool, guaranteed rejuvenation.

It was in this city that Vasco da Gama, in the 16th century, had a fort built in order to compete with the Arabs in the spice trade.
