• day 1

  Arrival date

  Welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Arusha. Transfer to the lodge in Arusha. Dinner (depending on the time) and overnight in Arusha. Lodge with swimming pool, away from the noise of the city, to rest after the journey. www.pazuriinn.com

• day 2

  Arusha National Park

  First day of safari: after breakfast in this park near the city, if the weather allows, you will have a superb view of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. The walking safari with the ranger allows you to experience a different dimension with the animals. A family of tame giraffes lets you approach them. The walk lasts about 2 hours up to the waterfall. Then, a 4x4 safari will allow you to discover your first African animals. Picnic, dinner, and another night at the lodge.

• day 3

  Tarangire National Park

  

  After breakfast, departure towards Tarangire National Park for a safari with a picnic lunch. You will be able to observe elephants, lions, vervet monkeys, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, not to mention the famous baobab tree. Dinner and overnight stay in a lodge on the edge of the park, with a view of the Tarangire River (outside the park). • day 4

  Tarangire

  Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for another day of 4x4 safari in this wonderful park full of surprises. Picnic lunch. The Silale Swamp is a must-see. The park deserves a second day of exploration. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Karatu. www.eileenstrees.com

• day 5

  Serengeti National Park

  Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for Serengeti National Park, safari en route with picnic lunch. Lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, hippos, leopards, zebras, wildebeest (depending on the migration)... This immense park is something to see and feel. The landscapes, the diversity of wildlife, and the lighting have made it the number one park for several years. • day 6

  Serengeti

  

  Breakfast at the camp – safari day with picnic lunch in this animal paradise, until sunset with its very special colors. Dinner and another night in a tented camp at Seronera (inside the park).

• day 7

  Ngorongoro Crater

  Departure towards the Ngorongoro crater, safari with picnic lunch: elephants, rhinoceroses, lions, buffaloes, elands, antelopes... A caldera that brings together the Big Five: the leopard, the rhinoceros, the elephant, the buffalo, and the lion. A hippo swamp and a bird lake complete this UNESCO World Heritage site. • day 8

  Departure day

  Breakfast at the lodge. Drive for transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar. Note: it is recommended to take a flight in the early afternoon to allow for transfer time (picnic provided).
