  Wednesday, December 30: Menton

  

  Welcome at 5 p.m. at the Menton SNCF train station. We go to our hotel, then settle into our rooms. If you arrive earlier or later, you can go directly to the hotel. First possible walk by the sea. Accommodation: hotel***. Meals included: dinner. Meals not included: breakfast - lunch.

• day 2

  Thursday, December 31: Gorbio - Roquebrune - Cap Martin - Menton - New Year's Eve Party

  

  Short bus transfer in the morning. Departing from Gorbio, a small village overlooking Cap Martin, we descend to Roquebrune via the Col de la Coupière, 468 m. We reach the sea to begin the tour of Cap Martin, via the coastal path of the Promenade du Corbusier to Menton. Celebrate the New Year with a "Special New Year's Eve" dinner. Transfer: scheduled bus. Walking time: about 4 hours 30 minutes. Ascent: + 150 m. Descent: - 470 m. Accommodation: hotel***. Meals included: breakfast - lunch (picnic) - "Special New Year's Eve" dinner.

• day 3

  Friday, January 1st: Cap Ferrat and the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer

  

  Hiking: Tour of Cap Ferrat along the coastal path and its numerous points. Discovery of the port of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Walking time: about 4 hours. Positive elevation gain: +110 m. Negative elevation gain: -110 m. Heritage (optional): Villa Kerylos in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Villa from 1908 built on the model of an ancient Greek house. The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, a villa from 1912 inspired by Italian classicism and featuring vast themed gardens. Transfers: train. Walking time: about 4 hours. Positive elevation gain: +110 m. • day 4

  Saturday, January 2: panoramic walk from Castellar to Menton - end of the stay

  

  Short bus transfer to reach the village of Monti, on the heights above Menton. We take the balcony path of the Côte d'Azur to reach the perched village of Castellar. Then follows a beautiful descent from Castellar to Menton, always with panoramic views over the bay of Menton, Cap Martin, and the Mediterranean as a backdrop. Descent via Baousset and the beautiful Orthodox cemetery of Menton. End of the stay after the hike, in the early afternoon. Dispersal at the Menton SNCF train station. Transfer: scheduled bus. Walking time: about 4 hours. Positive elevation gain: + 190 m. Negative elevation loss: - 360 m. Meals included: breakfast - lunch (picnic). Meals not included: dinner.
