Followed by an afternoon of culinary discovery in the most renowned restaurants of New Orleans, with tastings of the most famous dishes!

HOUMAYou will take the road that follows the mighty Mississippi River and discover the many plantations there. Each of them will reveal its charms and history to you. Then, you will arrive in Houma in the afternoon and share an unforgettable moment with a Cajun family. You will take a cooking class on local dishes. It will be a unique opportunity to discover the richness of Cajun culture, with a "real" Cajun, who will put all his heart into sharing his love for his culture and traditions with you.

LAFAYETTEOn the way to Lafayette, you can visit the Tabasco factory, the most world-renowned hot sauce. There, you will tour the production before heading to the famous factory store where you can, if you wish, taste and/or buy the many varieties of this sauce, a must-have in Louisiana and a staple of all local cuisine. At the end of the morning, you will arrive in Lafayette, the capital of French Louisiana. Then, in the afternoon, you will visit downtown Lafayette with all its art galleries, shops, and restaurants. Above all, don't miss the Grand Oak, over 500 years old, located near St. John the Evangelist Cathedral. You will have the pleasure of taking part in a unique cooking class with Chef Maugie, during which you will learn and savor different delicious dishes. You will discover the extraordinary nature of the swamps during the visit to the Atchafalaya Bayou, before spending the rest of the day strolling through Vermilionville, a superb village-museum, where you will learn the whole history of the arrival of the Cajuns in southern Louisiana after being expelled from Canada by the English. Your evening will be entirely devoted to your typical "Fais-dodo" dinner. There, you will taste Louisiana specialties in a relaxed atmosphere to the sound of Cajun music.

Baton RougeRoute to Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana. You will visit the new capitol with its panoramic view of the city and the Mississippi River. Don't miss the Louisiana State Museum, nearby, an essential place to truly understand and appreciate the state's cultural differences, in various arts, including music and cuisine.
day 6
NEW ORLEANSAfter a free morning, you will leave Baton Rouge and arrive in New Orleans just in time to enjoy a brunch to the rhythm of jazz at the famous Court of Two Sisters restaurant. You will spend the rest of the day strolling through the streets and shops, visiting museums or historical sites.

DepartureFree morning, then return of your vehicle before your international flight.
