Abu SimbelWelcome to Aswan. Departure around 10:00 am to reach Abu Simbel (290 km). Upon arrival, you will settle into your Nubian house or hotel, the Tuya hotel (modest and typical). Nubian lunch. Then, in the afternoon, departure for the visit of the two temples of Abu Simbel. The temples of Abu Simbel are two ancient Egyptian temples carved into the rock and located near Abu Simbel. There is the great temple and the small temple, both built by Pharaoh Ramses II. The great temple is dedicated to the worship of Amun, Ra, Ptah, and the deified Ramses II. Its facade is composed of four colossal statues of Ramses II seated. The small temple is dedicated to the worship of the deified Nefertari. Its facade is composed of six colossal statues of Ramses II and Nefertari. Finally, you will attend the famous "Sound and Light" show. The temples of Abu Simbel are even more enchanting at night, thanks to the lighting, music, and superb narration. You will literally be introduced to what life was like thousands of years ago! Then, you will be accompanied to your Nubian hotel or house.

Cruise on Lake NasserBreakfast at the hotel. Departure to join your small boat. You will settle on board your Queen Tiyi cruise boat, 5 cabins (boarding on Thursday). The cruise includes 3 meals, as well as unlimited mineral water, tea, coffee, and herbal teas. Lunch on board. Then, navigation to Kasr Ibrim (about 4 hours of sailing). In fact, Kasr Ibrim is the only non-relocated vestige where we will see the ruins of an ancient fortress and a basilica. Commentary will be given from the boat's deck. In addition, we will continue with a visit to the rock-cut tomb of Peinout (chief general of Nubia). Lunch. Next, we will pass through the regions of Korousko and its mountainous relief. As well as Wadi el Arab, one of the largest valleys in the region, which stretches for several kilometers. We will spend the night in one of the coves of Wadi el Arab. Dinner and overnight on board. Cruise on Lake NasserAfter breakfast, we will visit the temples of Wadi el Seboua (the Valley of the Lions), which were dedicated to the gods Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, as well as the deified Ramses II. We will also visit the temple of Dakka, dedicated to Thoth, as well as the Greco-Roman temple of Meharakka. Return to our boat; lunch on board. Then, we will sail to spend the night in one of the bays of Khour El Alaki. Dinner and overnight on board.

Cruise on Lake NasserAfter breakfast, we will sail in the morning towards Aswan, where we will visit the temple of Kalabsha. We will also see the chapel of Beit el Wali, carved into the rock and dedicated to the young king Ramses II. Then, we will finish with the kiosk of Kertassi, also dedicated to the young king Ramses II. We will then admire the prehistoric bas-reliefs.
