day 1
Your destination – CairoWelcome and assistance from our local representative upon your arrival, followed by transfer to the hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
day 2
Cairo - LuxorBreakfast at the hotel, then visit to the Giza plateau. Discovery of the pyramid site: Khufu, the largest of the three, Khafre, and Menkaure, much smaller than its two sisters, but retaining its original casing at the base. Beside it stands the imposing Sphinx with a human head (57 m long), whose role was to protect the entrance to the tomb from looters. Lunch at the restaurant, then departure for a visit to the famous National Museum, founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette Pasha and moved in 1902 to the current building. Flight to Luxor (1 hour flight). Dinner at leisure and overnight in Luxor.
day 3
Louxor (boarding must take place on a Monday, Thursday or Saturday)Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the boat for check-in and boarding, then departure for the visit of the Valley of the Kings, which houses 62 tombs (visit of 3 tombs), and the Valley of the Queens, where there are 75 tombs (visit of 2 tombs). You will then discover the Luxor Temple. Return on board. Dinner and first night on board.
day 4
Louxor - Esna - EdfuAfter breakfast, departure for the visit of the Karnak complex and the temple of Amon Ra, whose magnificence and scale defy imagination. Lunch on board, then sailing to Esna and passing through the Esna lock. Continuation of the navigation towards Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
day 5
Edfu - Kom Ombo - AswanBreakfast on board. Sailing to Edfu for a visit to the temple dedicated to Horus, the "Falcon-headed God", whose two magnificent black granite statues flank the entrance. This temple is undoubtedly the best preserved in the country. Return on board and sail to Kom Ombo, followed by a visit to the Kom Ombo temple. This temple from the Ptolemaic era is dedicated both to the hawk god Haroeris and the crocodile god Sobek. After the visit, embark to continue sailing towards Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.
day 6
Aswan(Optional) Early in the morning, excursion by car to the temples of Abu Simbel. Visit the great temple built by Ramses II, then discover the small temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, also built by her husband Ramses II and dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Return to Aswan. Breakfast on board, free day. Lunch on board. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.
day 7
Aswan – CairoBreakfast on board, then disembarkation. You will then take a boat ride around Agikia Island, where the Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, was relocated, before visiting the temple. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, departure for a visit to the Aswan High Dam, built by Soviet engineers in 1960, which supplies electricity to the entire country, as well as the unfinished obelisk. Transfer to Aswan airport and flight to Cairo (1h25 flight). Dinner at your leisure and overnight at the hotel near the airport.
