• day 1

  From Italy to Amman – A warm welcome to Jordan

  

  

  Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and assist you with visa formalities. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel in Amman for check-in. Relax and enjoy your first night in the vibrant capital of Jordan. Total transfer: approximately 36 km. Meals: meals are not included for this day. Accommodation: Khan Khediwe.

  Jerash and Amman – Ancient history and modern life

  

  

  Start the day with a visit to Jerash, the second most important city in Jordan after Petra. Known for its extraordinary Roman remains, such as Hadrian's Arch and the Temple of Artemis, Jerash is an exceptional witness to the greatness of the Roman Empire in the East. Then continue to discover Amman, with its Citadel offering a spectacular view of the city, and the Roman Theatre, one of the largest and best preserved in the area. In the evening, for those who wish, there is the possibility to explore Amman at night, strolling along Rainbow Street and Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, lively places where you can savor the modern culture of the capital.   Journey through history and faith: Madaba, Mount Nebo and Karak

  

  

  

  Breakfast and visit to Madaba, the "city of mosaics", famous for the map of the Holy Land in the 6th-century Church of St. George. Madaba is mentioned in the Old Testament. Continue to Mount Nebo, the burial place of Moses and from which he saw the Promised Land. The journey continues to Karak, famous for its impressive Crusader Castle. The Karak Castle is located on a hill that rises 960 meters above sea level. It has a layout that resembles the shape of a trapezoid and is characterized by a Crusader architectural style. The fortress is surrounded by valleys on three sides, while in front there is a deep trench of solid rock. The castle appears as a floating island immersed in a sea of deep valleys.   Petra, the pink city.

  

  

  

  After breakfast, we begin our adventure discovering Petra, the pink city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, carved into sandstone and rich in history. You will cross the Siq, a narrow gorge that reveals the “Treasury” (Al Khazneh), the iconic monument with its magnificent Greco-Roman façade. You will discover temples, tombs, the Roman Theatre, and Qasr El Bint, the only temple still intact. At the end of the visit, transfer to Wadi Rum for the overnight stay, where you can experience the enchantment of the desert. Total transfer: (about 115 km). Meals: breakfast, dinner.   Adventures in the desert and relaxation at the Dead Sea

  

  

  

  

  

  Departure for an excursion in Wadi Rum, the largest and most spectacular desert in Jordan, also known as the "Valley of the Moon." 3-hour exploration by 4x4 jeep among the natural wonders of the desert, with the possibility of a camel ride. T.E. Lawrence described Wadi Rum as "vast, echoing and godlike." Then we will continue our journey to the Dead Sea for a moment of relaxation, floating in its salty waters, famous for their therapeutic properties and the tranquility of the place.   Dead Sea – Departure.
