• day 1

  Cairo

  Welcome and assistance by your C LA VIE Travel and Tours representative. Transfer to the hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Arrival snack. Overnight in Cairo, family room for 4 people.

• day 2

  Pharaonic Cairo

  Breakfast at the hotel. OPTION 1: Visit to the Giza necropolis with its famous pyramids (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure) and the Sphinx. View from a panorama allowing you to take memorable photos of the three pyramids together. Khufu, the only surviving wonder of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, was for more than 40 centuries the tallest monument built by man with its 146 meters. Khafre, the medium-sized one. Menkaure, the smallest with its 66 meters. At the foot of the pyramids stands the Sphinx, a lion with a pharaoh's head, facing east. Carved from a single block of stone, it measures 73 meters long and 20 meters high. Its fixed gaze fascinates and conveys a timeless message. Lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). OPTION 1: Visit to the Egyptian Museum of Cairo: it houses more than 250,000 pieces, including the famous treasure of Tutankhamun. It is a true immersion into the history of ancient Egypt across 5 millennia. Dinner and overnight at the Cairo hotel.

  Cairo for children

  Breakfast at the hotel. OPTION 2: Visit to the Children's Museum. "Center for the Child of Civilization and Creativity" The museum uses interactive media to stimulate visitors' curiosity about the history of Ancient Egypt. There are many games and activities, both indoors and outdoors. This museum is both educational and entertaining, and is suitable for children from 3 years old. Lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). OPTION 2: Visit to the Pharaonic Village. Experience the life of Ancient Egypt at the Pharaonic Village. Historical actors will take you on a journey back in time, to the era of the pharaohs. The buildings, clothing, and reproduction of daily life will immerse you in the ancient past. Share the existence of a pharaoh, a fisherman, a potter, a farmer, a weaver, a priest, and many others. Dinner and overnight at the Cairo hotel.

• day 4

  Luxor

  Breakfast at the hotel. Welcome and assistance from your hotel to take you to Cairo airport. Flight to Luxor. Welcome and assistance at Luxor airport. Transfer to the hotel. Family room for 4 people. Luxor, the ancient Thebes, the city of a hundred gates of the god Amun, capital of Upper Egypt and of the whole country under the 18th dynasty, is one of the most refined cities. Luxor stretches along the right bank of the Nile. OPTION 3: Carriage ride to visit Luxor with a different perspective. OPTION 4: In the late afternoon, night visit of the Luxor temple, built to glorify the god Amun Ra. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Luxor hotel.

  Luxor

  Breakfast at the hotel. OPTION 5: Visit to the Karnak Temple The temple, located near Thebes, the religious capital, is the largest and richest religious center in Egypt. Here, for two thousand years, the faith of men paid homage to the same god: AMON. The greatest kings succeeded one another here: Seti I, Ramses II, Thutmose III, Ramses III. (The name "Karnak" means "fortress".) Lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). Return to the hotel. OPTION 5: Felucca ride at the end of the day to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Luxor.

• day 6

  Luxor

  Breakfast at the hotel. OPTION 6: Visit of the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Nobles with visits to several tombs. The valley contains 62 tombs from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. Numbered according to the order of their discovery, the 62nd is the most famous tomb in the Valley of the Kings. It is that of Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter. You will make a stop to contemplate the Colossi of Memnon, impressive remains of the great temple of Amenhotep III. Lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). Return to the hotel. OPTION 7: Sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Luxor.

• day 7

  Luxor

  Breakfast at the hotel. OPTION 8: Visit of Deir El Medina, the ancient village of artisans. Visit of the tombs and the Ptolemaic temple. You will take the time to feel the traces left by the community of workers and artisans who worked on the construction of the royal and princely tombs of the New Kingdom in the valleys of the kings and queens. Lunch at the restaurant (vegetarian meal available upon prior request). Included in the program: meeting with the association "The Children of Luxor." You will visit the kindergarten. If you wish, you can donate supplies for the children present (they are in need of pencils, pens, markers). Your children will be able to discover cultural and educational differences. You will be able to discuss the importance of this association. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Luxor.

• day 8

  Departure

  Breakfast at the hotel. Reception and assistance from your hotel to take you to Luxor airport. Flight to Cairo. Reception and assistance at Cairo airport for your return home.
