• day 1

  Arrival in Antananarivo

  Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide, who will take you to your hotel in Antananarivo, where you can rest after this long flight.

• day 2

  Direction Mandrare

  Today, you will take a flight to Fort Dauphin, the oldest city in the southeast of Madagascar. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed and then transferred to the Camp de la Rivière Mandrare, a luxury eco-camp located on the banks of the Mandrare River, under a gallery of tamarind trees. In the evening, you can enjoy a local dinner and interact with the locals about their culture and customs.

• day 3

  Discovery of Mandrare

  

  After a good breakfast in the morning, you will start the day with a visit to a local market where you can discover the splendid fabrics made in the valley. Local markets symbolize a magnificent mix of colors, sounds, smells, people, and animals. Your guide will be sure to give you additional details. You will return to the camp for lunch and then head towards the Zenavo forest. This will be an opportunity to observe the Sifaka lemurs, the representative animal of the country. After sunset, you will be able to see two other families of lemurs, but also birds, chameleons, owls, and many other animal species.   Exploration of Mandrare

  On this new day, you will head towards the Sacred Forest Galleries located south of the camp, You will discover the neomal forests with deciduous leaves, which are notable for sheltering many animals, including large groups of ring-tailed lemurs with black and white striped tails. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a magnificent sunset over the Baobabs, offering a breathtaking view of the mountains. A magical and unforgettable experience. During dinner, you will have the chance to witness traditional dances, accompanied by songs and music performed by the villagers.

  Farniente in Manafiafy

  

  You will leave the exotic Mandrare and its wild fauna and flora for Manafiafy and its luxurious beach on the Indian Ocean. There you will find a true sense of peace and serenity in the midst of this lush nature of unparalleled beauty. You can take the opportunity to relax on the paradisiacal beach with its fine white sand and crystal-clear waters.

• day 6

  Snorkeling in Manafiafy

  Today, you will be able to enjoy many land and/or water activities according to your preferences. For those who wish to spend the day more calmly, we recommend many other activities, such as massage sessions under the sun, visiting fishing villages, a local market, a school, or even traditional mat making. If your stay takes place between mid-June and mid-December, you will have a good chance of being able to observe whales.

• day 7

  Boat trip to Manafiafy

  

  You will go on a boat trip where you can enjoy this magical place even more. You will visit the coastal forest to discover an extraordinary fauna and flora. Thus, you will be able to see lemurs, chameleons, but also Nepenthes, carnivorous plants. Fishing enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to practice their favorite activity. You will spend your last night in Manafiafy.

  Return to Antananarivo

  Your driver will take you to Fort Dauphin airport to catch the flight to Antananarivo, the famous capital of the great island. You can rest quietly in your hotel.

• day 9

  Return flight

  On this last day, you can take one last tour of the capital and visit the Digue craft market. This stay discovering the southeast of Madagascar, rich in discoveries and visits, has certainly pleased you and made you want to discover other parts of the great island. An opportunity that will present itself next time, but for now, it is time to return. Your driver will take you to the airport for the return flight.
