Arrival and transfer to your hotel.Welcome to Ecuador! Upon your arrival in Quito, you will be greeted by one of our drivers, who will be holding a sign with your name. He will then transfer you to the magnificent Dann Carlton hotel, where you will spend the night, before your adventure in Ecuador begins!
day 2
Old Town and Middle of the World - Transfer to MachachiOur guide will pick you up at your hotel and you will start your day by exploring the historic center of Quito. This colonial city was the first to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1978, due to having the best-preserved historic center in the Americas. The tour will show you highlights such as Independence Square, the Church of San Francisco, and the impressive Basilica del Voto Nacional. During this time, you will discover the turbulent history of Quito as well as the sights and sounds of everyday Ecuadorian life. Next, we have about an hour's drive to Mitad del Mundo, which means "middle of the world." This is the point where you can stand with one foot in the southern hemisphere and the other in the north. The Intiñan Museum offers an interesting range of experiences to demonstrate the uniqueness and magic of this special place. After your visit, our guide will take you to Hosteria Papagayo. Yoga & MTB at Corazon volcanoGuided meditation (optional): meditation, positivity, peace, and clarity. Hatha Yoga: a combination of deep breathing exercises and postures to strengthen the body. After the yoga session, you will enjoy a bike ride in the heart of the Andean nature, towards Corazon mountain, which is part of the "Avenue of the Volcanoes." This inactive volcano offers you a magnificent and peaceful landscape, where you can discover species of Andean fauna and flora. Meals included: B/L/D
day 4
Yoga & the Quilotoa CraterVinyasa Flow Yoga Class: This class will focus on the body, complete and deep breathing exercises, as well as muscle work. After the yoga session, you will begin your journey to the Quilotoa crater lake. This is a volcanic crater filled with crystal-clear water, which holds a special place in the local indigenous mythology: it is said to be bottomless. Along the road to reach the crater, you will pass through the local markets in Saquisilí (Thursday) or Pujilí (Sunday), where you will appreciate the indigenous way of life. You will also cross the Zumbahua canyon, which is an excellent opportunity to take photos. Nearby, you will visit an indigenous family. When you reach Quilotoa, you can go down to the water's edge and appreciate its beauty up close. The hike is quite steep, but it is always possible to rent a mule for a few extra dollars. In the afternoon, after visiting Quilotoa, you will enjoy a sunset yoga session – an easy yoga to relieve tension. Meals included: B/BL/D
day 5
Yoga & MTB at the Illinizas volcanoGuided meditation (optional): Meditation for letting go Yin Yoga: Deep stretching class After the yoga session, our journey to Illinizas begins. This exciting one-day mountain biking excursion is designed to offer a unique experience of the Andes. The tour starts with a pleasant ride to the "La Vierge" viewpoint, located on the famous northern Illinizas volcano. It offers a beautiful view of the two volcanoes, Illinizas and Cotopaxi, as well as the surrounding countryside. From there, we begin our first descent into the small town of El Chaupi. We continue by 4x4 for an hour of off-road adventure. After a short hike, we reach our lunch destination at the Milagro hot springs and waterfall. It's a perfect and natural way to relax the mind and muscles before continuing the final and exhilarating descent of the day to Pastocalle. Meals included: B/BL/D
day 6
Yoga & Cotopaxi National ParkGuided meditation (optional): Meditation to remember who you are Yogalates: yoga training and a blend of Pilates, deep muscle work and flexibility. The symmetrical cone of Cotopaxi (5,897 m) is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. It rises in a vast plain where llamas, condors, and herds of wild horses live. Visiting Cotopaxi National Park is an exciting day that begins with spectacular views of the unique Andean landscape of the "Avenue of the Volcanoes." Inside the national park, we climb up to the refuge, located at 4,810 m on the snow line of Cotopaxi. We will then have a brief safety briefing before our mountain bike descent! There are two sections to the mountain biking, the first of which we recommend for experienced cyclists. The journey ends at the beautiful lagoon at the base of Cotopaxi. Depending on conditions, we will climb up to 5,000 m altitude, where it will be possible to see the glacier. This tour peaks at 4,810 m, so it is important that you are prepared for this type of altitude. We recommend acclimatizing for at least two days around 3,000 m. Meals included: B/BL/D
day 7
Yoga and transfer to Papallacta - Papallacta, hot springsGentle yoga exercise: strengthening, releasing tension, and regular breathing rhythm. Vinyasa Flow Class: advanced level. Vinyasa Flow Papallacta is home to hot thermal springs. The water is heated by the underground activity of the Antisana volcano. The series of pools is located between the foothills of the Andes mountains and the beginning of the Amazon region. Needless to say, the surrounding landscape makes it a special place to relax. You are free to decide whether you prefer to relax in the hot springs or indulge in luxurious spa treatments. Sunset yoga session: relaxing yoga for mindfulness. Meals included: B/L/D
day 8
Yoga & Transfer to the airportGuided meditation (optional): Meditation for manifestation. Hatha Yoga: a combination of basic deep breathing exercises and postures, with the aim of strengthening the body. After the yoga session, our driver will take you to the airport for your international flight. Meals included: B
