Arrival in Cochin (the organization may vary depending on your arrival)Arrival at Cochin International Airport. Discovery of the small port of Cochin, famous for its Chinese fishing nets. Visit to the Santa-Cruz Basilica, built by Portuguese colonists in 1505, then to the Saint-Francis Church, former tomb of Vasco de Gama. Visit to the Paradeshi Synagogue, with its sublime and richly decorated interior, considered the most beautiful in India. Possibility to visit the Mangalavanam exotic bird sanctuary (on request). From Cochin to Munnar - 126 kmDeparture after breakfast towards Munnar. Munnar is a sublime little mountain resort, representing the natural beauty of Kerala all by itself. The road to Munnar is a feast for the eyes, with the most exquisite tea plantations of the Indian subcontinent, waterfalls, lakes, rocky peaks, and eucalyptus forests. Visit of the city center, then head to the tea and coffee plantations for a walk to discover the secrets of production and harvesting. Overnight at the hotel.

Visit of MunnarRelaxation day in Munnar. Visit to the famous spice market. Possibility of an excursion to Mattupatti and the tea plantations of Devikulam (on request). Overnight at the hotel.

From Munnar to Periyar - 93 kmDeparture after breakfast towards Periyar. Visit of the city before boarding for a cruise through the national park (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary), one of the most beautiful in the country where it is possible to spot tigers and elephants (possibility of additional excursions or hikes in the park on request). Periyar is a true haven of peace, ideal for relaxing amidst the lush and sublime landscapes offered by the hills covered with pepper and cardamom plantations. Overnight at the hotel.

From Periyar to Kumarakom - 129 kmDeparture after breakfast towards Kumarakom. Visit of the Kumarakom bird sanctuary, located on a peninsula jutting out into the beautiful Vembanad Lake. It is a striking sight, a true labyrinth of canals and small lagoons. Stroll on the backwaters, through the mangroves and coconut trees. In the evening, it is possible to go to Mrs. Nimmy Paul's house for a cooking demonstration, followed by a "homemade" dinner in a friendly atmosphere. Overnight at the hotel.

From Kumarakom to Cochin - 62 kmDeparture after breakfast towards Cochin. Rest of the day free for a last visit or some last-minute shopping, then transfer to Cochin airport for the return flight. End of the trip, have a safe journey back!
