day 1
HomeYour guide will welcome you at Denpasar-Bali airport with your private, air-conditioned car, then drive you to your room nestled in the heart of Bali, in Ubud, the cultural and artistic center of the island. Your accommodation, spacious and comfortable, is located in a charming, very quiet tropical garden and benefits from a beautiful landscaped pool, or is set amidst lush green rice fields, all in a purely Balinese style. The accommodations we carefully select for our travelers are all tastefully decorated and each has a private bathroom with shower or bathtub, as well as all modern comforts (Internet, air conditioning, pool, etc.). Your hosts will most often welcome you with a small welcome drink. That evening, or the next morning depending on your arrival time, a member of our team will be at your disposal to give you all the information necessary for the smooth running of your stay and to answer any questions you may have. After discovering your room, you will join Morpheus for a well-deserved night's rest after this long journey... It is from this haven of peace that we will help you discover the wonders of the island in a private, air-conditioned car starting the next morning. Type of accommodation An intimate guesthouse in the rice fields or a small bamboo hotel nestled in a jungle ravine... You will always benefit from an address combining the typical charm of Bali and the comfort sought for a honeymoon: pool, air conditioning if necessary, private bathroom... Meals not included. Night in your charming room in Ubud.
day 2
Discovery of Ubud - The Sacred Monkey Forest - Complimentary massagesYou will go to discover the Sacred Monkey Forest: this tropical forest, located in the heart of the Ubud area and with dense vegetation, is home to a community of small macaques (be careful, the monkey is a revered animal in the Hindu religion). Of course, you will stroll through Ubud, its typical streets, its vast market… Free time to enjoy the pool at your hotel. In the afternoon, to help you fully relax before the beautiful evening ahead, we offer each of you a one-hour massage in the privacy of your room. Our qualified and experienced masseuse practices traditional Balinese massage, while adapting to each individual's expectations, and will thus offer you a wonderful moment of well-being. Meals at your leisure. Overnight in your charming room in Ubud.
day 3
Ubud - The age-old temples - Traditional dance performancesToday, you will be delighted to visit two temples, important sites dedicated to the worship of Hinduism in Bali: Tirta Empul in Tampak Siring and Pura Gunung Kawi. The Tirta Empul temple has been a well-known pilgrimage site since the 5th century for the virtues of its sacred spring. After making their offerings, pilgrims bathe in the (cool) water of the pools, which is said to have healing and life-giving powers. Pura Gunung Kawi houses 7-meter-high mausoleums, carved directly into the rock in the 11th century. Free time to enjoy your hotel's pool. This evening, your day will end beautifully with a traditional dance performance: whether purely entertaining or sacred, accompanied by the sound of the gamelan or paced by a choir, Balinese dances are always enjoyable for their stories, their rich costumes, and their carefully crafted choreography. Good times ahead, for sure! Meals at your leisure. Overnight in your charming room in Ubud.
day 4
Ubud - Rice fields - Spa treatmentsAfter your breakfast, you will head towards Tegallalang, where the most beautiful terraced rice fields of Ubud are located. You will have the opportunity to enjoy your lunch there while taking in an exceptional view, and to walk with a local guide in this postcard-like setting. After your lunch (which you can have at a site of exceptional natural beauty), we invite you to a moment of deep relaxation... You can enjoy a scrub, a massage, a body mask, and a spice bath as a couple in a beautiful, typically Balinese spa, built with natural materials and perfectly integrated into the environment. Meals are at your leisure. Overnight in your charming room in Ubud.
day 5
Ubud - Balinese ceremony and typical mealToday, in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to experience a rare event: a typically Balinese ceremony with a blessing for the newlyweds will be held in the strictest intimacy, just for the two of you. This is a blessing during which a Mangku, a Balinese holy man, will pray to the Gods to bring happiness and longevity to your union. This experience is most often lived as a symbolic wedding in Bali by our travelers. A photographer can be present to immortalize the moment, for an additional fee. A delicious typical Balinese meal will be served to you to prolong this wonderful evening. Free lunch. Romantic dinner with a bottle of local rosé wine included in your quote (excluding other drinks). Free meals. Night in your charming room in Ubud.
day 6
Pemuteran - Trek in the tropical forest - Local marketToday, a change of direction, as you will head west on the island (wild and preserved), towards Pemuteran. On the way, you will cross the mountainous regions of the island and make a stop at the small town of Bedugul. Here, there is no problem with drought: the landscape is green and the vegetation is lush. It is cooler, about 25 degrees all year round… Bedugul is famous for its strawberries, its fruit and flower market (you can buy small orchid shoots sold in glass bottles, taste mangosteens, a truly delicious fruit, or buy all kinds of spices such as cinnamon at very good prices). Then, with an experienced nature guide, you will set off to discover Bali’s primary forest for an easy and pleasant walk of about two hours, with the return by traditional canoe giving you plenty of time to discover the beauty of Lake Tamblingan. This little trek takes place on small forest trails and is therefore easily accessible. Nevertheless, it will immerse you in the deep nature of Bali, discovering strangler fig trees (incredible trees that Nicolas Hulot climbs in his Ushuaïa Nature episode dedicated to Indonesia). Type of accommodation Small guesthouse with typical charm or seaside hotel to enjoy the beautiful black volcanic sand beaches of western Bali... Our accommodations adapt to your budget while respecting essential criteria: charm, authenticity, comfort, service... Meals not included. Night in your charming room in Pemuteran.
day 7
Pemuteran - Snorkeling at Menjangan IslandPemuteran is the perfect starting point for a snorkeling trip with mask, fins, and snorkel to Menjangan Island. We will organize this activity for you. It will probably be one of the most beautiful snorkeling experiences of your life. Here, the water is crystal clear and the underwater atmosphere is enchanting. You will feel like you are diving into a life-size aquarium. A small picnic lunch is included in this activity. Departure at 8:30 am and return at 3:00 pm to enjoy the pool... Dinner is free. Night in your charming room in Pemuteran.
day 8
Lovina - Balinese hot springs and Buddhist templeToday, you will also have the opportunity to visit the only Buddhist monastery in Bali, which is predominantly Hindu. Perched on top of a hill, this monastery is impressive with its rooms filled with golden statues, offerings, and incense. A zen atmosphere awaits you… We suggest you try another original activity: Balinese-style thermal bathing, that is, bathing in stone pools filled with naturally hot water! These sulfurous water springs are said to have beneficial and relaxing properties. In any case, the jets provide a deep and very pleasant massage, if not therapeutic. The place is very popular with locals and is also worth seeing for its large jungle-like garden and the typical architecture of its pools. Type of accommodation A small charming guesthouse with only 4 rooms, nestled in a magnificent setting of tropical vegetation... Breakfast with homemade bread, jam, and yogurt, natural pool, stone or bamboo bungalows... Looking for immersion? Meals not included. Night in your charming room in Sekumpul.
day 9
Sekumpul - Waterfalls and meal with localsWe will take you to a nearly secret place to discover a magnificent 90-meter-high tropical waterfall, in the heart of an extraordinary jungle landscape, breathtakingly beautiful! You will no doubt feel like the first explorers of a completely untouched island. You will share lunch with your guide and his family. He lives in a small house in the jungle with his wife and their 3 children, and his wife is a wonderful cook. Type of accommodation After this incredible experience, we will take you to Candidasa, in the east of the island... a favorite place we wish to share with you. You will stay in a charming guesthouse, nestled in a small tropical garden and featuring a lovely pool with jacuzzi. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the restaurant is excellent, and the location is ideal... Dinner is at your leisure. Overnight in your charming guesthouse in Candidasa (east of Bali).
day 10
Candidasa - Discovery of the fabulous Aga countryThis morning, you will have the chance to visit an Aga village and discover their crafts as well as their specific culture. Then, after a relatively easy trek in the jungle (30 minutes), followed by a tour of a quiet town (3 hours), you will discover one of the most beautiful terraced rice field landscapes in Bali. The hillside viewpoint is simply fabulous! You will no doubt cross paths with an Aga (the original population of Bali before Javanization) carrying a live pig, or a group of children bathing in a stream and greeting you loudly and joyfully with their few rudiments of English… Meals not included. Overnight in your charming guesthouse in Candidasa (east of Bali).
day 11
Candidasa - White sand beach - King's GardensWe will take you ten minutes from Candidasa, where one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali is located. This small white sand beach, lined with coconut trees and still not very touristy, was used as a filming location for a challenge in the French TV show "Pékin Express"! It is a superb site where you can also drink from freshly cut coconuts and eat freshly caught fish, squid, large prawns grilled on a coconut charcoal barbecue, delicious pancakes, or anything else you might like… After this moment of relaxation, we invite you to visit the peaceful gardens of the King of Karangasem: their pretty lily ponds, the aquatic walk on slabs in the middle of the water, and the "royal pool" in which you can swim (for those who enjoy the company of a few small fish!). In good weather, the landscape is magnificent; you can see the different volcanoes of Bali, Lombok, and the other islands in the distance. Meals not included. Overnight in your charming guesthouse in Candidasa.
day 12
Secret South of Bali - Idleness - The CliffWhen you think you know everything about Bali, we will take you to a small, preserved corner in the south of Bali that we are particularly fond of. You will stay in a traditional bungalow (luxury Robinson Crusoe style) charmingly decorated, with a terrace overlooking the ocean and located on the Balangan hill ("Bukit"). The beach is just down the steps! On the way, we offer you some wonderful discoveries: a temple with a bat cave and the chance to discover how Bali's artisanal salt is made! Type of accommodation Charming circular bungalows, very comfortable, with a very original private bathroom. The hotel has a magnificent landscaped outdoor pool overlooking the large tropical garden, with a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean. The restaurant is very good... This hotel is a 15-minute walk from the popular surf spot at the small Balangan beach (one of the most beautiful beaches in the south, wild and preserved). Meals not included. Overnight at your charming hotel in the south of Bali.
day 13
Driver-free day - Relaxation and idleness in the south of BaliDay in relaxation and leisure mode, without a driver, to deeply recharge before your return... The opportunity for you to sip a fresh fruit juice by the pool with a view of the Indian Ocean, book a massage (optional), or go to the beach... Meals at your leisure. Overnight at your charming hotel in the south of Bali.
day 14
Balangan - Day à la carte and airportDepending on your flight schedule, you can use these last hours to visit one of the two temples in the south (which are relatively far from each other): Uluwatu or Tanah Lot. Or, if you prefer, you can do a bit of shopping to buy your souvenirs and end-of-stay gifts. The south of Bali is full of small craft shops, each more beautiful than the last... We would like to draw your attention to the fact that check-outs take place between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. depending on the hotel, and that you will spend these last hours with your driver. If you would like a late check-out, please consult our conditions. After these last excursions, we will of course take you back to the airport and make sure your departure is safe and comfortable... since it will already be time to say "goodbye"... …
