day 1:
La PazThe Uyuni-Bolivian Amazon-Lake Titicaca tour starts by a warm welcome to the city of La Paz with a transfer to your hotel. Our guide will give a quick briefing on this spectacular ten-day tour that features some of the most remarkable destinations in Bolivia and South America. Depending on the time of your arrival to La Paz, there are optional half-day tours not far from this capital city available for request.
day 2:
La Paz – Copacabana – Isla Del SolAt 08:00, you’ll set off on a scenic 3.5-hour drive along the Andes toward Lake Titicaca, arriving first in Copacabana, a charming lakeside town. From here, board a tourist boat and glide across the steel-blue waters of Lake Titicaca for about 1.5 hours to the southern tip of Isla del Sol. You’ll land near the Pilkocaina archaeological site, where your leisurely 1.5-hour hike begins, offering stunning views and glimpses of daily life on the island. The walk ends at your hotel, where you’ll spend the night. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore viewpoints and take in more breathtaking vistas of the island and the lake. (B, L, D)
day 3:
Isla del Sol- Copacabana – La PazIf the weather is kind, today begins with the chance to witness a spectacular sunrise over the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca and the sacred peaks of the majestic Cordillera Real. After breakfast, we hike through the village of Yumani—often called the Garden of the Incas—and visit the legendary Spring of Eternal Youth, where the Incas once performed baptism rituals. From there, we head to Bay Port to board a boat back to Copacabana, where we’ll visit the revered Virgen Morena and her beautiful church. After lunch in Copacabana, we drive back to the city of La Paz, arriving by sunset. (B, L)
day 4:
La Paz- Rurrenabaque – Chalalan (Madidi National Park)Welcome to Rurrenabaque! If you arrive on a morning flight*, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the Chalalán office in Rurrenabaque for a short briefing. From there, we’ll begin our adventure with a journey up the Beni River in a dugout canoe, passing through the beautiful Bala Gorge before entering the Tuichi River—our gateway to Madidi National Park—on the way to Chalalán Ecolodge. This five-hour river trip is nothing short of spectacular and dynamic, offering opportunities to spot Amazon wildlife and admire pristine forests along both riverbanks. It’s the perfect introduction to the richest biodiversity hotspot in the world. Along the way, we may encounter capybaras, tapirs, macaws, toucans, caimans, and, with a bit of luck, even a jaguar. Upon arrival at Chalalán port on the Tuichi River, we’ll take an easy 25–30 minute walk beneath towering rainforest canopies to reach the ecolodge, beautifully set on the shores of Lake Chalalán. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a short guided walk along one of the lodge’s trails, where your guide will interpret the rainforest ecosystem and share insights into traditional uses of its resources. We’ll return to the lodge by canoe, keeping an eye out for monkeys and bird species along the way. After dinner, you may opt for a guided night walk to observe the forest’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife. *If you arrive on an afternoon flight, we’ll welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for the night.
day 5:
ChalalanWe wake up to a rainforest symphony of wildlife sounds. After breakfast, we have a guided walk --3 to 4 hours—in Tapacare trail or similar. A chance to observe some wildlife like, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, capuchin monkey and many other species of birds such as toucans, macaws, parrots, eagles, and guans. Our guide will give us more information about the rainforest, and by noon we will head back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, after some rest, we will hike another trail to keep looking for more wildlife, learn more about plants and animal behaviors. Upon return to the lodge, we will have lunch, and in the afternoon, after some rest, we will take another walk on the trail that leads us to El Mirador (Lookout) to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Chalalan and the distant serranias showing the extensive primary rainforest of Madidi National Park. Dinner and later optional canoe ride along some lake shores to observe amphibians, nocturnal birds, fishing bats, and glowing eyes of black caimans. (B, L, D)
day 6:
ChalalanAfter breakfast, we set out on a longer hike to the Eslabón River, a journey of approximately six hours. Along the way, we’ll be immersed in the sounds of the primary rainforest—both distant and close—while our guides share their extensive knowledge of plants, natural history, and wildlife behaviour. Beneath towering canopies, we may spot colourful wild macaws, parrots, guans, and other bird species, as well as active troops of brown capuchin and squirrel monkeys. With a bit of luck, we might encounter a playful troop of black spider monkeys, a solitary tapir, or even large herds of white-lipped peccaries. We’ll stop for a boxed lunch by the Eslabón River, taking a short rest before retracing our steps along the same trail back to the lodge. The remainder of the day will be free to relax at the lodge or enjoy a refreshing swim in the lake. (B, L, D)
day 7:
Chalalán – Rurrenabaque – La PazOn this final day, after an early breakfast, we’ll pack our belongings and walk to the port to board our outboard boat for the return journey to Rurrenabaque. The ride takes about three hours, aided by the river’s current, and offers continued opportunities to spot wildlife along the banks—so keep your eyes and ears open. Upon arrival in Rurrenabaque, we’ll transfer to the airport for our 2:55 PM flight to La Paz via Cochabamba. (B, L)
day 8:
La Paz – Uyuni Salt Flat (Dry season: June-early November)Transfer to El Alto International Airport for your flight to Uyuni. The journey takes about one hour, and upon arrival, we’ll start by visiting the atmospheric Train Cemetery before continuing to the town of Colchani to see how locals extract and process salt using traditional methods. From here, we venture deep into the Uyuni Salt Flat—the largest of its kind on Earth—surrounded by ancient volcanic mountains. This otherworldly landscape offers endless opportunities for incredible nature photography. Along the way, we’ll stop at the ojos del salar (“eyes of the salt flat”), where icy, mineral-rich water bubbles up through the thick salt crust from hidden underground rivers. Lunch will be served in the middle of the salt flat before we continue toward the fascinating Isla Incahuasi, home to giant cacti hundreds of years old. Here, short hikes lead to 360-degree viewpoints with breathtaking panoramas of the vast white expanse. In the late afternoon, prepare for a spectacular sunset over the shimmering flats before heading to your hotel on the edge of Uyuni Salt Flat. (B, L, D) Optional: After dinner, enjoy a stargazing experience under Uyuni’s famously clear night skies. If conditions are right, you’ll see the dark constellations once observed by ancient cultures and learn about the Aymara people’s beliefs and celestial traditions. (B, L, D)

Colchani – Uyuni- La PazTransfer to Uyuni’s airport to fly out to the City of La Paz. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free afternoon (B).
