Arrival day and welcome to Tanzania.

Jour d'arrivée et bienvenue en Tanzanie

Whatever your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Eyes On Serengeti driver-guide will be waiting for you with a warm smile. You can relax in your comfortable vehicle and head to your hotel in Arusha, the so-called "safari capital" of Tanzania. During your drive to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this large, bustling commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today; if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.

  • day 2

From Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park.

D'Arusha au parc national du lac Manyara.

Trip: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. After breakfast at the hotel, our local guide will ensure you have received all the essential information before we depart for our first safari destination. Lunch will be taken at Manyara National Park and will be followed by an afternoon safari. Overnight in the Karatu region, near the Ngorongoro Highlands. Safari (Game Drive) in Lake Manyara National Park After our lunch, we will get into our vehicle to discover the highlights of this park. Backed by the rugged escarpment of the Rift Valley and characterized by its shimmering lake, Manyara is rich in vegetation and the wildlife that thrives there. Enjoy the tranquility as majestic flamingos wade gracefully, picking a meal of algae in the shallow, alkaline waters. On land, Manyara's terrain is compact but features different environments, such as varied forests fed by waters seeping from the nearby escarpment. Monkeys are plentiful, but watch out for lions, giraffes, warthogs, and grumpy Cape buffaloes, who feel at home in this park. Hold your nose when we arrive at the hippo pool, as these big animals smell bad!

  • day 3

From the high plateaus of Karatu Ngorongoro to the Serengeti National Park.

Des hauts plateaux du Karatu Ngorongoro au parc national du Serengeti

Trip: Karatu/Ngorongoro Highlands - Serengeti National Park With the Serengeti as our destination, we leave the lodge after breakfast and head northwest on our 4 ½ hour journey to the endless plains of the Serengeti, exploring the Ndutu plains region. Upon entering the Serengeti, we can go on a safari to our special campsite. The lodge option is recommended depending on the season of travel. Highlights: On the way, you can ask your driver-guide about all aspects of Tanzanian culture, traditions, tribes, and of course, wildlife. Safari in Serengeti National Park Finally! The Serengeti, Tanzania's incomparable wonder, will be the stage for the natural spectacle of animals that will undoubtedly unfold during your visit. Your afternoon safari here combines the known and the unknown, the certainty that you will be amazed with the uncertainty of exactly what you will see and when. Changing light, a changing cast of animal actors, ensuring that at every turn there is a new experience. Take memorable photos, but don't forget to take a deep breath and enjoy nature in its raw beauty in real time.

  • day 4

    Continue exploring the Serengeti.

    Continuer à explorer le Serengeti

We take part in an early morning safari before returning for breakfast and to rest. In the afternoon, we go to observe the nocturnal animals as they begin their activity. It is also an ideal place to take part in the magnificent Serengeti balloon safari (optional).

  • day 5

    Serengeti Ngorongoro National Park

    Parc national du Serengeti Ngorongoro

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Trip: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area After a morning safari and lunch, this afternoon we will head southeast towards Ngorongoro, a distance of 145 km that will take us about 3½ hours. The highlight of the day Today, we will have the chance to see for the first time the spectacular and incomparable Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and the heart of the conservation area of the same name. But before that, we will enjoy another morning safari in the amazing Serengeti, where we will marvel at its animal inhabitants. Another day of adventure, another opportunity to enjoy the wildlife. Safari in Serengeti National Park After our morning safari, perhaps trying to find an animal that has, so far, been elusive enough to escape your eagle-eyed driver-guide, we will head southeast towards Ngorongoro. If you have not yet been struck by its vastness, the "endless plains" of the Serengeti will certainly make a deep impression on you now as we take the long straight road that passes by Simba Kopjes (famous thanks to "The Lion King") to reach Naabi Hill Gate, near the watershed between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. There, you can gather information at the visitor center at the gate, climb the hill to enjoy a superb view of the plains, or spot a colorful agama lizard among the rocks.

  • day 6

From the Ngorongoro Crater to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Du cratère du Ngorongoro à l'aéroport international du Kilimandjaro

Visit to the Ngorongoro Crater We start with an early morning safari inside the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a vast mountainous region along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its central point. Ngorongoro was created to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. In the late afternoon, return to Arusha or to the airport for your flight.
