Magical Islands 8 Days/7 Nights full board

Cape Verde, discover this 8-day trip

Trip Description

Cape Verde is an archipelago of 10 islands in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, off the African coast. We have chosen two magical islands to help you discover the soul and authenticity of Cape Verde. The island of São Vicente, with its capital Mindelo and its Afro-Brazilian influences, is the island of music and beautiful sandy beaches swept by the wind. In this city, nicknamed the cultural capital of the archipelago, the night has a particular fascination, because at every street corner, you are confronted with live music, which brings together all the musical genres of Cape Verde, with a special place, of course, for Morna, immortalized by the barefoot diva, Cesária Évora. It was exactly in these same squares that she began her brilliant musical career. The island of Santo Antão, with its mountainous terrain, tropical valley, small traditional villages, the paradise of Tarrafal, its cheese, its tropical fruits and vegetables, its welcoming inhabitants and its varied landscapes, is considered by many to be the most beautiful and authentic island of Cape Verde. Being an island of remarkable hills, peaks and valleys, Santo Antão offers a multitude of sports activities, among which we highlight hiking, trekking and adventure sports. The main towns are Porto Novo and Ribeira Grande.

A short walk of about 40 minutes to the small forest ranger's house, for an exceptional viewpoint over the islands of São Vicente, Santa Luzia, and São Nicolau. The guide will explain the different endemic plants. At this altitude, you can discover a forest of pines and eucalyptus. On one side, Pico da Cruz faces São Vicente. The stretch of sea separating the two islands is superb; on the other side, you overlook the Paul valley: we invite you to climb a rock to find yourself above the void, 900 meters below your feet. This excursion will allow you to discover magnificent views of the green valleys, the North Coast, and the South slope. During the journey, stop at Delgadinho where you can see Ribeira da Torre and Ribeira Grande. Road to Ponta do Sol, a charming town with houses painted green, blue, and pink.
