Your arrival in Siem ReapArrival at Siem Reap airport, you will be greeted by your driver, then taken by private vehicle to your host family. Settle in and have lunch on your own at the location. Free time to explore the village with your host. In the middle of the afternoon, set off by tuk-tuk to the outskirts of Siem Reap to discover, among other things, a lotus farm and watch the magnificent sunsets from Phnom Krom hill. Dinner included with the host family.
day 2
The floating village and the Phare circusAfter your breakfast, you will leave in a private vehicle, accompanied by a French-speaking guide, for an extraordinary floating village. Boat ride to discover this way of life so different from our own habits. Continue the ride in a canoe through the flooded forest (depending on the season and water level). Lunch at your leisure upon your return to Siem Reap. In the afternoon, you will visit, accompanied by Nathalie or Mélanie, various artisans established in the city, who are passionate about passing on and sharing their many ancestral skills. At 6:15 pm, departure by tuk-tuk for a dinner show at the Phare circus, in category B. Return to your accommodation after the performance.
day 3
AngkorDeparture very early by tuk-tuk with your French-speaking guide to admire the sunrise over the Angkor Wat site, followed by a visit to this temple. Breakfast on your own at the site. Visit of the city of Angkor Thom with the Bayon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Leper King, then the Baphuon. Lunch near Sras Srang in a private traditional house, where you can then enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation. After lunch, visit the temple of Preah Khan, the former Royal Palace. Return to Siem Reap and dinner on your own.
day 4
Angkor and the silk preservation centerIn the late morning, departure in a private vehicle with your French-speaking guide for a visit to the famous Tomb Raider temple, overgrown by vegetation: Ta Prohm. Lunch with locals in a traditional Khmer house, after which you will take part in a traditional incense-making workshop. After lunch, you will visit, accompanied by the Franco-Khmer owners, a silk preservation center. Your day will end with a visit to the Citadel of Women, Banteay Srey, located about twenty kilometers northeast of Angkor. Return to Siem Reap. Dinner-show of traditional Khmer arts (included).
day 5
Temples and countryside by mountain bikeDeparture from your accommodation for a mountain bike ride, accompanied by a French-speaking guide, through the Siem Reap countryside to discover the habits of the locals, the fauna, the flora, local markets and villages, as well as the temples of the Roluos group: Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei, far from the tourist crowds. Local lunch included in a Cambodian village. After lunch, time to relax, then get back on your bikes to continue your visits with your guide. Return to the homestay in the middle of the afternoon. Dinner at your leisure.
day 6
Cooking class in the countryside and departure to BattambangAfter your breakfast, departure in a private tuk-tuk to take part in a Cambodian cooking class in a village located on the outskirts of the city. The class will begin with a visit to a local market to purchase ingredients. Lunch included, prepared by yourself. After lunch, departure in a private vehicle towards the west of the country and the charming colonial town of Battambang. Arrival at your hotel, check-in and free time. Dinner at your leisure (suggestion at the hotel or along the Sangker river).
day 7
Visit of BattambangMorning of cultural visits in a private tuk-tuk accompanied by a French-speaking guide, you will discover the authentic Cambodian countryside, the Phnom Banan temple as well as local artisan workshops. Return to the hotel at the end of the morning. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, you will set off again in a tuk-tuk with your guide for a bamboo train ride through the countryside. Then, visit Phnom Sampov at sunset to witness the flight of thousands of bats. Dinner at your leisure.
day 8
River cruise on the Tonlé SapVery early departure for a cruise on the Tonlé Sap river to Siem Reap. Plan for a free lunch during your crossing. Arrival in Siem Reap at the end of the day and transfer to your hotel by private tuk-tuk. Check-in and free time. Dinner at your leisure.
day 9
From Siem Reap to the banks of the MekongAfter your breakfast, check-out and departure by private vehicle to the city of Kratie. Arrival in Kratie, transfer and check-in at your hotel. Free time to enjoy the calm of Koh Trong island, located opposite Kratie. Dinner at leisure at the hotel.
day 10
Meeting the dolphins and the regionAfter your breakfast, meet your driver for a car departure and a visit to Phnom Sambok and the pagoda located there. Lunch at your leisure in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue with a boat ride with fishermen to encounter the local wildlife threatened with extinction (the Irrawaddy dolphins). Return to Kratie to your hotel, then free time and dinner at your leisure on site.
day 11
Departure to Kampong ChamBreakfast and departure with your driver to the province of Kampong Cham. Lunch on your own along the way. Arrival at your homestay in the early afternoon. You will have free time to settle into your bungalow and visit the farm and its various projects. At sunset, you will experience net fishing on the Mekong River alongside a local fisherman, then visit his fish farm on the floating village. Dinner on your own at the site.
day 12
Discovery of the surroundings of Kampong ChamAfter breakfast, departure by tuk-tuk for the visit of Phnom Pros, Phnom Srei, and Wat Nokor Bachey. Lunch at your leisure and return to the homestay. The afternoon will be free. You will have the possibility to rent bikes and discover the surroundings on your own. You can also cross the Mekong to explore, with your bike, a small island out of time, by taking a ferry for the crossing. Dinner at your leisure at your homestay.
day 13
From Kampong Cham to Phnom PenhAfter your breakfast, early departure by private vehicle to Phnom Penh, the capital of the country. Lunch at leisure upon your arrival at the hotel. In the afternoon, free visits to the Genocide Museum (S-21) and the Killing Fields (Choeung Ek). Dinner at leisure.
day 14
Discovery of Phnom PenhDeparture after your breakfast by tuk-tuk for the "Heritage Tour" through the streets of the capital to explore its many architectural secrets. Lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a tuk-tuk discovery of Protectorate-era Phnom Penh with your French guide, as well as the Central Market. At the end of the afternoon, your tuk-tuk will take you to the river to admire the sunset. You will enjoy an aperitif cruise aboard a boat. Dinner at your leisure.
day 15
Departure to Kep.Departure after your breakfast with your driver towards the south of the country and the seaside resort of Kep. Check-in at the hotel at the end of the morning and free lunch. Free afternoon (relaxation, swimming pool, walk...) Free dinner.
day 16
Kampot and the pepper plantationAfter your breakfast, depart in a private vehicle to the charming neighboring town of Kampot, for a kayak ride on the water amidst the mangroves. Lunch at your leisure. Continue with your driver to the plantation (Certified Organic Kampot Pepper Farm), where you will be welcomed in a beautiful traditional Khmer house overlooking Secret Lake and Bokor Mountain. Enjoy a full tour of the plantation to learn more about Kampot pepper, with a tasting of spices and peppers, followed by a ride in a water buffalo cart at sunset. Dinner included.
day 17
Cruise in the islandsWith a French-speaking guide, board a traditional Khmer fishing boat for an exotic and relaxing day on the islands of the Kep archipelago and their authentic fishing villages, far from any tourist activity. Lunch included (barbecue and drinks). You will then have the opportunity to swim and go snorkeling. Return to the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Dinner at your leisure.
day 18
Visit of Kep and return to Phnom Penh.After your breakfast, it's time to leave. You will have free time to visit the must-see crab market. Lunch at your leisure.
