"Corcovado" is a distortion of the word "hunchback" in Portuguese, used to refer to the mountain that dominates Rio at 710 meters and on which stands the giant statue (38 m high, 28 m wide) of Christ the Redeemer, created by the French sculptor Paul Landowski. With his open arms, he personifies the welcome and hospitality of the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro. The panorama will allow you to understand its layout. One of the most beautiful views of Rio... Walk through old Rio, cultural corridor, Tiradentes Palace, Lapa dos Mercadores Church, Place XV, Casa França-Brasil, Candelária Church, Saint Benedict Monastery and its gold-covered church. We will end the tour with a visit to the superb modern metropolitan cathedral, inspired by an Inca temple. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the Santa Teresa district and discover the Selarón steps. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

    Foz do Iguaçu - The falls on the Argentine side

    Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. In the morning, you will start with a visit to the Iguaçu Falls in Argentina. Most of the falls are located on Argentine territory. Four trails will allow you to discover them by getting as close as possible, right in the heart of the forest. The Argentine park has a small train that will take you to the starting points of the hiking trails to the falls. This same small train will take you to the walkways leading to the Garganta do Diablo ("Devil's Throat"). Lunch on your own in Argentina. At the end of the afternoon: exploration of the Tropics Bird Park. Discover magnificent birds from the region in a park located in the heart of the tropical forest. It is one of the ecological sanctuaries that allows for ecotourism. You can see more than 900 birds of 150 different species, protected in large aviaries, spread over 4 hectares. The tour is done on foot, in the middle of the forest, passing through the various aviaries. This path, about 1,000 meters long, offers a unique approach to the different species. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Salvador de Bahia, founded in 1549, is an invaluable treasure from the point of view of colonial art, and visitors are dazzled by the profusion of exuberant decorations that reflect the talent and imagination of artists from the 17th and 18th centuries. Dinner at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Pousada Solar dos Deuses (this establishment is a small hotel/inn that does not have a restaurant. Breakfast is served in the room).     Brazilian breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. In the morning, visit of the Upper Town, where the main monuments and old neighborhoods are grouped. Discovery of Bahia's culture, its churches, its traditions, and its mystical side. The visit of the oldest part of the city will be on foot, through picturesque alleys, where you will see the Church of São Francisco, the Pelourinho square, a central square located in the heart of the historic center, formerly a place of flogging for slaves and now the center of the Bahian carnival. Lunch at leisure. The afternoon will be devoted to visiting the modern city, the Lower Town, to appreciate the natural and architectural contrasts of the city, including the Church of Bonfim, famous for its perfect symbiosis between Catholicism and Candomblé, Monte Serrat with its panoramic view of the city, not to mention the São Joaquim market, full of color and scents! Spend the evening watching a folkloric dance show at the Miguel Santana Theater, in the historic center of Salvador. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Suggestions to stay one more night in Salvador: discovery of Cachoeira or Praia do Forte (and the sea turtles). We also offer excursions such as cooking classes, capoeira classes, etc.

Free dinner, overnight at the hotel. We offer this option of one night in Rio rather than connecting the domestic flight and the transatlantic flight (direct flight to Paris CDG). Any itinerary presented can be modified. Also, you should know that if you wish to enjoy a beach stay at the end of this trip, we highly recommend Praia do Forte/Imbassai, the island of Morro de São Paulo, or the very popular village of Trancoso.
