Jordan's desert castles, built by Umayyad princes in the 8th century, are a remarkable series of desert retreats located east of Amman. They primarily served as palaces, bathhouses, and hunting lodges. This architectural heritage showcases stunning designs and provides insight into the lavish lifestyles of the Umayyad elite during that period. The castles are easily accessible on a round trip of approximately 260 km. Transfer to Iraq Al Amir, which translates to "Caves of the Prince." This village, located outside of Amman, Jordan, features a series of ancient caves carved into the cliffs, dating back to the 2nd century BC. These caves were historically used for various purposes, including burials, shelter, stables, and storage. Return to the hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
