  History and origins of Cape Verde

  

  Explore the streets of Cape Verde's capital and discover the history behind its beautiful architecture, colourful markets and main highlights. After visiting Praia, you will drive 15 km to the first city built by Europeans in the tropics south of the Sahara. • day 3:

  Cultural visits to rural villages

  

  Explore the rural world in the mountain villages of Rui Vaz and São Jorge and take in the picturesque beauty of these villages on a short hike with panoramic views, visit the São Jorge Cultural Museum and explore the remote culture of the island's inhabitants, and learn how to prepare a traditional Cape Verdean dish. • day 4:

  Serra Malagueta Natural Park and Tarrafal beach

  

  Explore the northern part of the island of Santiago and enjoy a short hike in the heart of the Serra Malagueta natural park and marvel at the beauty of the scenery, also visit Tarrafal beach and enjoy moments of leisure and relaxation. • day 5:

  Rural stroll through the coconut trees

  

  Explore the coastal area of the island of Santiago with your guide and visit the largest banana and coconut plantation on the island of Santiago at Pedra Badejo. • day 6:

  Street arts and African markets

  

  Discover the way of life of the inhabitants of Cape Verde's largest city, visit its African markets, street art and listen to the life stories of the people and their ancestors.
